Does anyone have one,do they work well?

£75 for a dental appointment is getting a bit steep and wondered if this might be an alternative.

I kept seeing these on TikTok and was intrigued so asked my dentist about it at my last checkup actually - she said NO way, and potentially a dangerous thing to be using as it could damage gums. Better to buy a really good electric toothbrush and make sure no tartar is there in the first place!

Hmmmm that's what worried me too. I hate electric toothbrushes but might have to grin and bear it. I have a hygienist appt booked next week and hoping that will be my last one for a long while! I'm really careful with my teeth, never had tartar before this last couple of years.

Ours is £85 for 30 mins and kids is £65 (no NhS service). We've all stopped going as we can't afford it. Dental health in this country is going to go to rack and ruin.

I barely get any tartar just a bit behind my lower teeth which my dentist used to scrape of and it took seconds. Now I'm referred to the private hygienist and 75 quid for less than 15 mins seems a real rip off imo. It's rough and it's catching my tongue so need to get it done .

I don't know if we are talking about the same thing but I did buy a dental set a few years ago and use it to pick the plaque behind my teeth and I do think it is good. I am very careful not had any problems and do go to the hygienist but think it does help stay on top of it.
