Was it worth the money?

Also did you have the dermabuilder one or just a regular one?

had three

nice but nothing special

sort of thing i’d have done regularly IF i won the lottery

but before then - will spend on better

covidisback · 19/11/2023 17:39

@idealgift what type of facial would you recommend?

How long did results last with the hydra?

didn’t really notice any result
just felt nice
but i have good skin generally so perhaps if it wasn’t - the difference would be stark

what do i recommend? botox!

covidisback · 19/11/2023 18:03

@idealgift lol I'm looking for the closet thing to Botox - I don't want any injectables/ surgery whether perm or temp

Retinol if you won't do Botox.

covidisback · 19/11/2023 18:05

@Summerhillsquare done by a professional? Can you recommend specific products please

Hydrafacials will clear your skin (there's a brilliant stage where the machine literally sucks all the crap out of your pores!) but honestly I had a course of 6 and it was nothing that salicylic acid couldn't also achieve.

Also worth mentioning that they might not do it if you're allergic to seafood as one of the stages uses an abrasive attachment made from prawn shells, if I remember rightly!

If you want lift or wrinkle improvement but not Botox, have you looked at CACI? cacibeauty.com

My mum is 80 and has Caci, she swears it improves her jowls and lines. She has fabulous skin and I hope it's going to prove genetic.

I had the Hydraglow facial and it looked great immediately afterwards but the visual effect was gone by the next day.

hopeishere · 19/11/2023 18:25

I had one. It was good but I still had blocked pores / blackheads on my nose.

Maybe look into Seventy Hyal or Profilho

I've had a few and really liked it. I also had a hydra tight facial, which includes a Venus treatment and this was much better.

covidisback · 19/11/2023 18:57

@yellowlane thanks how long did results last?

Not worth it

Appleblum · 22/11/2023 00:25

Meh. Didn't find it to be better than the standard facial.

themessygarden · 22/11/2023 00:38

I had one yesterday, I loved it. I found the lymphatic drainage part of it great, it really helps if you have any undereye swelling. Skin was glowing afterwards and make up today looked good, I don't think there is any long term effect from it, but I think it was still worthwhile.

I have heard the Venus Legacy is amazing as it uses radio frequency, but I couldn't find anywhere locally who does it.

hi! Does the sucking stuff out of your skin bit actually work? this is the bit i am after... Thanks!

mirror245 · 23/01/2024 18:54

The sucking bit does work. You can see the gunk in the bottle.

chopinwaltz26 · 23/01/2024 19:33

I have had 2. The first one was "meh", but I don't think the practitioner had done them that often.
The second one was incredible, immediately visible and noticeable results. Probably lasted a few days. I imagine you have to have them regularly for a longer-lasting effect. In essence they are just a very deep clean, so after a few days of "life" and your usual routine the effect wears off.
Personally I think the difference was that the second one with with an actual, licensed Hydrafacial machine, not so sure about the first.
