Best Aveda range for dry, FRIZZY hair…?

I’ve been really keen to try Aveda haircare and I’ve found a few offers.

Which range do you rate for serious frizz control, and which products?? I’ve been reading that the Botanical Repair leave in treatment is good but my hair isn’t actually damaged, just naturally incredibly frizzy (and dry)

Theres the Be Curly range which I might gravitate towards as my hair is curly but it’s really specifically frizz improvement that I’m desperate for.

Any other ranges from Aveda you’d suggest?

I feel like I’ve tried EVERY other brand at this point so unless you have a secret weapon in the fight against frizz from another brand, it’s pretty much just Aveda I’m wanting to try!!

Love Aveda botanical repair and the leave in conditioner smell is heavenly. Where do you get the offers please? Hairdressers price impossible.

I have also been looking at Aveda hair stuff- my hair looks dry, straw like, frizzy, almost like candy floss sometimes.

I love the leave in strengthen treatment, I skip the conditioner in the shower and it make my hair air dry non frizzy.

Thanks everyone!

Flibbertygibberty, it’s just offers on the Aveda website, Black Friday perhaps?

Try products with no glycerin. Having tried all types of serums oils etc for the same problem, the only thing that works is a serum with no glycerin in it

I’ve tried nearly every Aveda. Haven’t noticed any difference. I have found Living Proof has made a bit of a difference.

Aveda has 25% off everything for Black Friday. If you are a new customer you can get a further 15% of the price as well.

Botanical is amazing. Don't know about frizz, but it leaves my hair super smooth and silky.

LuckyCharmz · 19/11/2023 19:03

Have u got naturally curly or wavy hair? Do you straighten it?

ScreenPrinting · 19/11/2023 19:11

LuckyCharmz… I’m blessed 😤 with naturally wavy AND curly hair… it does both, in different parts. It’s also a tiny bit straight in parts too. It is THE most difficult hair, if I straighten it (which doesn’t suit me anyway. So I pretty much never do) it looks bushy (and frizzes) and if I air dry or blow dry wavy/curly it looks wild (and frizzes). Curly Girl was an absolute disaster.

( If a professional hairdresser blow dries it, allowing it to wave/curl but smoothing it out too, it looks fabulous. But I can’t afford a twice-weekly blow dry 😂 )

I think I will try the botanical leave in. I mean, I’ve spent so much on different products (that don’t work) over the years, I may as well keep trying…

I’ve tried Aveda Be Curly and didn’t rate it. Your hair sounds a lot like mine. If I don’t put product in, it looks like pure candy floss.

I like L’Oréal invisihold. I put a bit of Boots curl cream underneath, with a few drops of Aminodrops mixed in. I also double cast. I apply the product and let it air dry. Then when it’s nearly dry, I add more gel and scrunch some more. When it’s finally dry, I scrunch out the crunch.

I work with Aveda within a salon and I would highly recommend Nutriplenish for your hair type, especially after you mentioned that it's both frizzy and dry. One of the products I would suggest to you is called Curl Gelee which provides hydration as well as smoothing out the frizz. It's one we regularly use on our clients and is also one of our best sellers. Hope this helps 😊

I have fine, dry, shoulder-length, frizzy hair which dries with a very slight curl - better underneath but the top of the hair is awful - like a birds nest. I've started using the Be Curly Curl enhancer which leaves my hair soft and, once blow-dried, Redken Diamond oil on top.
If leaving to dry naturally, I wear a hooded jumper leaving the hood up as it dries as which helps tame it. Twisting sections of hair also when drying helps mine too.
