Male pattern hair loss - what are you doing about it ?

I'm hoping there will be others here with the same.
I'm post menopause and my grandmother had very similar hair so I'm assuming it's hereditary (?)

My hair at the front / top and temples has become very noticeably thinner and it's getting increasingly difficult to hide.

I've tried specialist shampoos / vitamins / supplements etc over the last couple of years but nothing seems to help.

I also wear hair toppers sometimes. They are expensive , I paid £900.00 for one and £200.00 for another.

But I never get my hair cut and dye it myself and the toppers should last many years if looked after well, so I justified it to myself that way!

I saw a private dermatologist after really bad hair loss. She recommended I check my ferritin (iron) levels. They should be atleast 70 big closer to 100 to maintain healthy hair. Mine was <40 so I started taking 219mg ferrous fumerate daily alongside high strength vit c that helps it absorbs and stops tummy ache. Alongside this she recommended 5% men's regaine foam (minoxidil). You apply to the roots nightly.

I've done both for 13 months and see a huge improvement in my hair. It's stopped falling and is growing back!!

Not at all, I went to Morgans in Chester, think they have a branch in Cardiff and Llandudno too. You pay £10 for the app and this is refunded against a purchase. I didn't know what to expect but they were lovely. Tried a couple then got this really good match to my natural hair. Love it and how convenient it is, easy to wash and dry, no styling.
