Great balm cleanser (to replace M&S Pure rose cleanser)

I’ve been very happy with the M&S Pure rose cleanser and went into the app to repurchase yesterday but it doesn’t appear in there at all :(

Any suggestions to replace it with? Ideally with a little fragrance. Thanks all

I have very sensitive skin. Reacted to the Emma Hardie one. And the Elemis one. I used to use Liz Earle C&P but either they changed the formula (smell and texture changed one year) or my skin changed but basically I can't use anything with fragrance or essential oils on my face. Clinique Take the Day off is the only thing i can use these days.

Beenalongwinter · 13/11/2023 20:10

Emma Hardie moringa balm is gorgeous sometimes available from TK Max or I recommend the huge Emma Hardie 100ml size from M & S with 15/20% off when there is a beauty discount code.

I dislike the Clinique balm, I was actually unable to see for a few minutes after using the Clinique balm cleanser and I am indifferent about Chamomile cleansing balm.

I was pleasantly surprised by the elf cleansing balm, they always dupe more expensive products.

Glow recipe and then I met you do nice fragranced ones but more expensive

Inky List is best for cheap and cheerful but not scented.

The Korean cleansing oils on stylevana are excellent and last ages

Newgolddream70 · 13/11/2023 21:00

I love Elemis pro collagen marine but can't afford it every time. I have been using a Superdrug one. Doesn't have much of a smell but it works well and doesn't irritate my skin.

@gravitytester me too but I found out today M& S seem to have stopped selling it. Loved the smell, so disappointed. I came on this thread hoping for new suggestions.

PosyPrettyToes · 13/11/2023 21:16

elf do a good one

SgtJuneAckland · 13/11/2023 21:26

Neal's yard rose beauty balm, honestly lasts forever. I also use it for dry elbows, chapped lips anything. I got it nearly half price on Amazon last time.

No, really?! I'm quite devastated but that 😭

I second this! It smells divine and gets rid of even the most stubborn make up.

Third it! I absolutely love the smell and the way it feels. it is quite expensive, but lasts well and it makes me happy every single night so I'll stick with it! Grin

Wonderbalm!
It's no Elemis but it's a great price, smells lovely and takes everything off.

Agree with the recommendations for elf for a reasonable balm cleanser, it’s not a rose scent though

AnneShirleysNewDress · 13/11/2023 23:08

No!! Gutted this has been discontinued. I switched after a recommendation on here. Back to Elemis for me.

Mirrormeback · 13/11/2023 23:33

I've tried most of them and I'm currently using Boots No 7 Cleansing balm which I can highly recommend

Clinique take the day off balm is good

The Emma Hardie is ok but not worth the price

MaloneMeadow · 14/11/2023 01:53

Nothing compares to Emma Hardie Moringa! Pricey but a big pot will last me about 3 months so it doesn’t work out too badly to be honest. I tried the Clinique version and wasn’t impressed at all

Sammysquiz · 14/11/2023 06:48

I’m on the same mission! Was searching for the rose one on M&S website yesterday - am guessing it’s gone for good as it’s been totally removed. Such a shame, it was brilliant!

Lots of great suggestions to try here though. The Body Shop do one too (camomile I think?) which is meant to be very good.

NotLactoseFree · 14/11/2023 09:04

The body shop one is good, yes. We have it in the house for DD.

SaffyWall · 14/11/2023 09:14

I like the Sali Highes one - it's really good value and has a light sandlewood scent which reminds me of Imperial Leather soap!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 14/11/2023 09:15

I use the Inkey List one and really rate it. I switched to a lot of their products in lockdown when the counters were closed and I couldn't get my usual more expensive products - they've been a revelation and I haven't gone back!

DupontsYellowDressingGown · 14/11/2023 09:17

The Body Shop one irritated my eyes, I liked Clinique TTDO but it was a bit dull. Although not a balm I like the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Cleansing Oil (quite often on offer somewhere) www.kiehls.co.uk/skin-care/category/cleansers-scrubs/midnight-recovery-botanical-cleansing-oil/KHL919.html
Has a lovely scent, doesn't irritate me, bottle lasts a long time and really gets rid of the makeup etc at the end of the day.

Mystro202 · 14/11/2023 10:46

Garnier have a lovely rose cleansing milk. Smells beautiful.

Notsojollyroger · 14/11/2023 11:28

I love the M&S Rose Balm and tried to order it a few weeks ago - it was out of stock online and in store but let me sign up for an email notification when it comes back into stock. I’m desperate enough to have called their customer service this morning to check whether it’s actually been discontinued. The lady checked using the product code and it says ‘item not found’. She said it would say ‘product code no longer exists/doesn’t exist’ if discontinued so hopefully it will be back. It did disappear around a year ago and came back so fingers crossed!

Mirrormeback · 14/11/2023 23:42

I just compared the EH Moringa balm against my Boots No 7 balm and the consistency is exactly the same

The EH isn't as thick as I remember it

I guess I'll use up the pot
