Is there any way I can get away with this frou frou skirt?

I’ve had this skirt for years and never dared wear it. I’m 40s and a size 12, is there anything that I could pair it with that will mean I could get away with it for a Christmas party? It’s a lot of leg for me which aren’t my best feature, I’d love to go black opaques and plain turtle neck but because it’s so summery I don’t think black will work. I’d also love to wear a blazer with it but again with the style I don’t think it would look right. Any help would be appreciated other wise it might be time to charity shop it, maybe it’s just too fussy in style for me.

No.

save it for a sunny date night with a black cropped top, gold jewellery and some pink/green mules or clompy sandals

its not Christmas party attire.

I think this is proper answer, really.

@PerditaProvokesEnmity your comment made me chuckle, "what complicated feelings".

I'd wear it.
With green opaques, a pink (to match that in the skirt) waist length scoop neck jumper and green sequin ballet flats (those I already own) in spring.
With a green crochet crop top and flip flops in summer.
With a green jumper (style as above), brown opaques and green-based floral laced plimsoles (those I already own) in autumn.
I couldn't make it work for winter or a Christmas party.

A black roll neck (cropped) black opaque tights and green heels would work.
