Crocs - worth it?

My DD has heart set on some fur lined crocs for christmas. But I'm a bit put off my price.

Are they worth it? Or are cheaper alternatives just as good?

Definitely real ones. I succumbed last year and bought some and now I resent having to wear anything else. One of the teens is also croc obsessed... definitely get on sale though... The lined ones are incredible but get black lining ones if you can!

Crocs are trendy? Wtf. I've reached that age of disbelief at fashion.

And you wear them with socks now.....

Get the real ones. They’re fashion. I had to walk round the town with my 15 year old son while he proudly showed off his bright blue ones. The ‘highlight’ was when he bent down to engage Sports Mode (put the strap behind the heel) 🙄I have a black pair I use essentially as slippers and they are far and away the most comfortable shoes I own.

I have the pink & white fur ones, I wear them as slippers, they are so comfortable.

Thanks everyone!

Think we'll go with the real deal. Last thing i want to do is spend money on something that falls apart or hurts (so isn't worn!)

Yes, Crocs aren't the prettiest, but they come in a wide array of styles, colours and are customisable. Crocs are easily the most comfortable things in the world - there's a reason there are so many copies out there. Crocs will outlast them all. Definitely worth spending money on.

I wore through a pair of crocs but it took me well over a decade, and that includes frequent wear when I ruptured my Achilles tendon, and also on maternity leave as good grab and go shoes. They are both hideous and wonderful and I wear mine year round when on odd jobs and nipping to the supermarket etc.

I love my crocs. I got two pairs of the more slimline ones. The second pair are a couple of sizes bigger so I can wear my thick fleecy Heat Holders socks in them so my feet and legs are really warm and cozy and the shoes themselves are so comfortable I often forget I'm wearing them. I had to remind myself of this as I almost bought a pair of fur lined crocs. So much useful info in MN.. 🌹
