A perfume for this 'story'..

It will sound completely nuts but humour me Grin

This is fiction, just so you know:
I live on the edge of a vast forest. I am romantic yet brooding, and my days are usually spent playing the cello or the grand piano in a draughty turret in the westernmost wing of the house. I have long wavy hair and like to wear velvet, silk and soft leather. I am middle aged, slim and fancy myself riding on a wild boar through the forest with leaves in my hair. I like Leonora Carrington (the surrealist painter) and Renoir.
In the evening I sit by the glowing embers and read. I have company only on rare occasions, but it is special. I have 2 cats and a silly dog. I used to keep horses but they grew tired of my indolence and left.
My house is a castle, but I am skint. I am of indeterminate class and shudder at the thought of polite society.

What is my perfume??

I'm curious about the perfume now too, although that prose could probably be a finalist in the bad sex writing awards :) "I press the soft suede of an apricots sheath to your lips."

Bad sex writing, lol!

I am interested if anyone knows about patchouli as an ingredient. I am only familiar with the very old oil version from the body shop in the early 90's - it made my nose itch, so sharp and unpleasant.

Would a patchouli flower ingredient combined with other layers actually alter this effect, or is my dislike something I ought to permanently honour and avoid?!???

@Tsukiko I’m not a fan of patchouli, or rose really, but I love them in combination. The patchouli seems to give the rose depth and softens the old fashioned, straight up rose garden scent and the rose takes away the hippy, joss stick aspect of the patchouli.

I also love Armani Si, which apparently has a patchouli base but I can’t actually pick up that note. Again, I think it’s there to give depth rather than actively smell of patchouli.

Thanks @CorneliaStreet the 'notes' in this one I am interested in are:
Elemi Iran, galbanum, water lily, angelica grain, cedar wood Virginia, juniper berry, patchouli Indonesia, frankincense and myrrh.

I find it difficult to imagine, might ask them for a sample!

Update: I have my Papillon sample of Dryad.
It is almost a replica, to me, of Aromatics Elixir (a lot less expensive!), I wonder what they have in common?
Notes in Dryad are: Narcissus. Oakmoss. Jonquil. Cedrat. Galbanum. Benzoin. Vetiver.
Only just tried it within last 10 mins so will see how it pans out.

Different websites cite completely different notes in Aromatics Elixir, although some overlap with Dryad.

I must also admit that I am not a fan of these notes, and felt similarly about Aromatics Elixir - I imagine it is something connected to cedrat, vetiver or maybe aldehydes?
I loe the scent, but not on myself. I think Dryad is too similar. Am now more reluctant to try our PerfumerH 'Rain Wood' for the same reason as it contains these notes.
Could I have a Chypre aversion?

I know you're not a Chanel fan but I read your OP and immediately thought Bois des ÃŽles
