Calling country dwellers - just waterproof are Cotswold boots?

I’m looking at Chalford. I don’t get on with Ariat - too heavy. And I’ve tried on 2.5 billion other “waterproof” outdoor shoes and didn’t find them very comfortable.

Are we talking boots for outside work/gardening/walking the dog (dubarry?) or standing on the sports pitch/trudging the lanes (I have a lovely pair of merrells or helly Hansen currently have some I covet!)….

Thank you for your response. Trudging lanes. I’ve tried Merrells and don’t get on with them. Haven’t tried Helly Hansen.

Lightweight scarpa or Sorel may be worth looking into (my Sorel boots are waterproof and v v lightweight - although prefer my lightweight Scarpas for muddy lanes).

Teva make fantastic waterproof leather boots, I have these and they haven't let me down.

Thanks - lightweight is exactly what I’m after. I will give Sorel & Scarpa a try. I’ve seen loads of Sorels online but they looked like they’d be heavy.

Never heard of Teva, will have a look, thanks.
