Skincare for dry skin - face

I am experiencing some dry skin on my face. I can wash in the morning or evening and the next part of the day, it can look like I have dandruff on parts of my face. Currently it's my chin area that is getting dry skin. Maybe it's something to do with approaching the winter and the cold air outside. I do t have heating on yet but the heating is appearing in work and in other establishments.

I used to have this dry skin issue very bad last year. It was awful. It was nearly all over my face, especially bad on my forehead.

I would like to tackle this issue now.
Is there any products that would be recommended here by others for dry a skin.

I have used Lush full of Grace serum for years when my skin gets particularly dry always settles my skin down. I have very sensitive skin and it’s prone to dryness particularly in winter.

I recently started using REN evercalm gentle cleansing milk too and that is brilliant stuff it leaves my skin soft and hydrated even before moisturising.

I also like Neom overnight facial cream - the smell is amazing.

Do you think it could be seborrhoeic dermatitis? If yes, it might be worth applying Nizoral shampoo to the problem areas.

Hyaluronic acid, moisturiser and a thin layer of Vaseline.

And use a really gentle cleanser.

I had permanently flaky dry skin on my face until I started using Clinique dramatically different moisturising lotion. Not cheap but worth it for me after years of using thick greasy creams which didn't actually work.

You also need to gently exfoliate but not too often as that can make matters worse. I find just soaking in warm water in a bath is enough to loosen the skin and then I can gently rub it off with a flannel. No need for any harsh products which can make skin drier. Once the dry skin has been removed the moisturiser can get to the layer below more easily and I find I then don't need to use a lot.

OP I had this for the past number of years. I spent a fortune on skincare over the years & none of it worked. Until last year I bought pestle & mortar hydrating range & it has cleared it up completely. I have been using it for a year now & absolutely love it.
