I have lost weight, 17lbs, and i am very pleased, and anticipating more weight loss.

But That gross bread-doughy overhang is still there. What cut is best to deal with that?

My eldest is 16 and i have never looked ok in trousers since Have recently lost 3st plus and still got overhand. I have found control knickers to be the only thing that works for me.

Overhang!!

I have got the susannah and trinny ones. They do make me look slimmer and are pretty good at holding the flab somewhat.

BoysOnToast · 08/03/2008 12:19

oh spanx are fab

m&s ones are rubbish imo. they get itchy and uncomfortable much too quickly, and the edges form lines in your flesh visible through clothes.

BoysOnToast · 08/03/2008 12:20

think the susannah and trinny ones are a lot like the spanx, but i wouldnt know as i bought some at same time, got them home and they were the wrong ones in the box.

FLat fronted trousers with no pockets which sit just under the tummy button.
Wide leg usually the most flattering, or at least wide leg at the hem.
Principles often does good and flattering trousers IME. Will see if I can find some to link to.

Something like this

A deep waistband is good, acts a bit like control pants.

Skirts. Sorry!

I look crap in trousers now, and only wear them to walk the dog.

You probably are not such a desperate case, though.

Oh good question! good answer pannacotta. i reckon (though not buying any more clothes this time until lost 2st at least...) that also making sure they're not too tight and even buying a size bigger if you can bear it. You don't want anything cutting in to said bread dough, rather a nice smooth line down and over, so to speak
