Vinted selling help

I’m relatively new to Vinted - have bought a few bits but not sold anything.

I just tried to list a Mulberry Bayswater. The listing was deleted immediately and a message sent to my inbox with a list of rules about having to use your own photos, not using stock images, not using anyone else’s photos.

But … they are all my own photos, taken only minutes before.

There doesn’t seem to be any way to contact them to query it. Can any more experienced sellers help?

I think with designer gear you have to have proof of purchase, lots of pictures of the lining, badges, labels etc as they don’t allow fakes

Vinted is a right hassle for designer items. Use eBay instead

Thanks. Yes, I had 20 detailed pics, certificate of authenticity, everything.

I don’t really want to use eBay. Long term E May seller but stopped selling high value items as I was finding 30-50% days f the time some dodgy buyer would claim the wrong item had been sent.

@404usernotfound , I use Ebay, but not for buying or selling designer stuff of high value.
I had a week where half the parcels I sent out were claimed as not delivered. All were the sort of brands that people will search for, and all had been delivered and signed for.

Please don't use enbay, depop or vinted for designer. Use one of the designer resale sites - they will authenticate your bag for you and some even photograph it too. You'll sell it on Vinted or ebay and get scammed out of your money.

Someone will claim it got lost or is fake and these sites nearly always favour buyers.

Hope that helps!

Hi can I suggest Vestiare for high value goods. They are really good. I've sold a couple of my designer items that I'd stopped using and got decent money for them and no hassle. Vestiare are the go between. xx

Some brands trigger it more than others. With me, it's got it into its head that & Other Stories is dead posh, bless. ARE YOU SURE THIS IS REAL yes mate calm down it's a funny little £15 pouch bag

MrsDeaconClaybourne · 16/10/2023 22:16

Vinted has just done it to me with a pair of very ordinary Adidas trainers of DD's that I was trying to sell for £5! It's a bit weird what things trigger it and then, for me at least, it's been impossible to actually contact a real person. I had a couple of very ordinary household things that they said violated their acceptable items once and i couldn't ever find out why. They were a game and a coffee pod stacker!

In the end I just relisted the same again and it was OK. I did get a mail about their “new verification service” though.

Too many scammers on Vinted for selling a high price item. I don’t risk anything over £50. There are multiple selling pages on Facebook that work really well.

Known scam on Vinted is someone buys, you send, they receive, say it’s not real, send you back (at your cost) a fake and then get their money back. Vinted always side with the buyer.
