What winter parka shall I buy? Didrikson or similar?

I need a warm winter parka. Happy to pay a bit more for something that will look good and be warm. I am short and slim and don’t want to look like the Michelin man!!

In the past I had a pretty good parka from Uniqlo buy thinking of spending a bit more. Maybe something like the Didrikson bente parka?

I’ve seen them in Cotswold Outdoors and Blacks. Next have some online, so if you are near a store you could order one in to try and return easily if you don’t like it.

I love my Didrikson's. I’ve had a few over the years. Some have gone to charity as I’ve lost weight. My daughter is wearing another and it’s still going strong.

I’ve got the Luna waterproof parka, and also the Toruń which is a puffer. Both in their third year and mint. Not had a problem with reproofing. Washed with wool wash, then cool iron. They do take ages to dry though so it’s a job I do in spring!

I have 2 didriksons and love them, one is short and the other is long. Bought them on Vinted.

I'm short and none of those danish brands worked for me. I have a few really warm coats but my northface brooklyn parka is a good one, it's waterproof and warm. I also have a superdry one which is very warm (but not waterproof). my north face brooklyn parka is black and I wish I'd got it in khaki so maybe next year I'll get another

I bought a children’s Didrikson last year from a charity shop and I have got it out of storage in preparation for the horrid weather. I love it!

I have that exact Didrickson and I love it , it’s really warm and coat but also light . I also the Marta parka and a lightweight shell jacket . As you can tell I am a bit of a fan !

Didrikson parkas look absolutely dreadful on me at 5ft3. I really don't understand the love on MN for this brand. I do love Parka London, as they're flattering, functional and lovely to wear. I have a Waterproof one with a detachable warm lining which is my Winter dog walking coat & a heavy khaki very warm one for Artic weather. More importantly they just look good & very well made.

It looks so nice on, it's not bulky around my shoulders and chest, just really flattering. I'm only 5'2", about a size 8-10 and bought a 36. The colour is a pinky brownish beige, makes a nice change from black.

So pleased I will now be warm and dry on the side of the rugby pitch!
