I suspect that newer foundations don't need it like they used to. And the trend is for a more dewy look.

DualCycloneCod · 07/03/2008 08:08

yes i wondered
but then am I missing a retail opp?

Well if you've got dry skin you probably don't need it. But you could buy some for a friend with oily skin, if you really want to buy something.

schneebly · 07/03/2008 08:11

I didn't for a long time until I tried this

it is amazing stuff.

Buda · 07/03/2008 08:13

Never one to miss a retail opp eh Cod?

BTW - I dreamt I went on holiday to the same place as you and we met up and everything. You were with a big group of family and friends. Your DSs were lovely and my DS loved playing with them. DH kept saying he couldn't believe there were normal people from MN and we all had a lovely time!!!

My dream then morphed into me having a 'thing' with Jamie Oliver!!!

I have dry skin and used to view powder as old ladyish and bronzer as Pamela Andersonish. I still hate bronzer, but then I don't like tans either!

Tried Benefit Dnadelion powder last year & I am now married to it!

DualCycloneCod · 07/03/2008 10:13

I lightly dust my foundation with a translucent powder from Chanel, using a big fluffy brush. It does 'set it', otherwise my foundation tends to disappear by lunchtime.

The powder isn't visible. I definitely don't look like this.
