Louboutins?

I really want a pair of Louboutin classic black heels with red soles. Any reviews from anyone that has a pair? Do the soles get dirty quickly/ fade? Are they comfy? DH is buying me them for our 5th anniversary + Christmas. Any advice appreciated!

I have a pair. This was 7 years ago so may be out of date advice. I went to the store in Harvey Nics and they were very helpful. They talked me through the different types of leather and which ones stretch so how to size up or down accordingly. They also have great advice on re-healing (at the time they recommended specialist shops). The soles do scratch but that’s fine, I like that they look well used, it tones down how ostentatious they are.
Defo go and buy in person and try loads on before you decide and be prepared for LOADS of comments if you wear them at work. Or maybe that was just my work.
They are the best fitting pair of heals I’ve ever owned

Second going to buy in person as they vary greatly in fit according to style.
I brought black patent ones as was told they were longer lasting but they are the most uncomfortable shoe o have ever worn.
I think for me I brought them too high and they are probably also a bit too narrow for me. They are the pigalle style.
the soles do scratch and wear easily. I still wear them not just in a car to bar type scenario. I definitely couldn’t walk far in them.
my ysl heels on the other hand are fab for walking in despite having quite a high heel. Think they are the Anya/Anje style.

Be aware Louboutin is into S&M and so they are very uncomfortable to wear! He’s been quite open in interviews that pain is part of beauty. Most uncomfortable shoes I own!

I find them uncomfortable to wear and I am no stranger to massive heels! Jimmy choos are way more comfortable. The red soles fade or chip quickly too

LadyHester · 02/10/2023 17:16

The Pigalle style is astonishingly uncomfortable for all but the narrowest feet. A long time ago I had the Décolleté 85 which I could wear all day, but I think it’s long discontinued. Might be worth asking in standalone store what the closest equivalent is.

I agree with @Robotik they are the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever owned and Jimmy Choo's are so much easier to walk in and wear for any length of time.

I want the comments at work! I feel like they are the ultimate power dress shoe ever that has ever been made! I hope they make me look like I mean business 😂. The office will be my catwalk.

They're so so uncomfortable OP. I had a pair of Pigalle style and honestly I couldn't wear them out of the house! They were bedroom only shoes Blush

Watchitsunshine · 02/10/2023 19:40

Get protective soles fitted - you can get CL ones and they don't spoil the sole at all. Like other posters, I find the pigalle 100s very uncomfortable as you need very narrow feet to wear them. I'd go for an 85 heel if you can get one.

Again another poster beat me to it, but Jimmy Choo heels are far far more comfortable. They seem to be designed by people who actually have feet. I love my CLs but lord my feet don't!!!

LadyFlumpalot · 02/10/2023 19:41

I got a pair second hand - in very good condition with sole protectors. Mine are not the classic shape, mine are a round toe suede court with a zip detail down the back of the heel.

They are the most painful, yet the most beautiful shoes I have ever owned (and I own a LOT of high heels) I usually manage half a day walking around the office before I give it up and put another pair of shoes on.

Heels!

At that price I’d hope that your heels don’t have to heal let alone re-heal 😉
