My holy grail.
I absolutely love clothes, but I don't like the feel of them against my body much at all. I am happiest in my pyjamas or a flowy gown.
People used to suggest leggings or loose fit jeans but these are the absolute worst, the thick seams of the denim, the weight; and leggings make me feel like i'm wearing a sausage skin (not to mention I don't even like them). I am just not much of a dress person so don't know what the perfect solution is. One thing is certain, I hate pattern, unless it's a very small, subtle check.
What I have already ruled out are jumpsuits and any kind of sport/leisure wear. I don't like the look.
It's hopeless isn't it? I only have a 26 inch waist and all elasticated things irritate me there, and zips/buttons too. If I buy a size up I look ridiculous. I suppose I want to wear my pyjamas forever or floaty strappy linen in summer. No idea if this is a sensorial or psychological thing but it's tedious.
My most comfortable items, and i don't own much thanks to this issue, are my corduroy loose dungarees, some loose yoga style black harems (summer weight) and linen smock things. I can wear tights with ease funnily enough but of course since I don't like most dresses this feels pointless.
Winter is my favourite season but I have no idea how to stay comfy. Any ideas? I am sure that I sound contrary and difficult, apologies in advance!
most of all I hate anything that clings in any way to my waist or chest. Flat soft waistbands would be perfect but not only are they hard to find, they are also mostly on summer garments. I can afford to spend but nothing ludicrous/high end.
