Is anyone else a bit addicted to buying stuff on Vinted?

It's only been a couple of months since I was saying to someone 'oh I prefer being able to try stuff on'. Then I thought I'd download it to get a few bits for the kids. I bought one top for myself and haven't looked back. The combination of cheapness and non-environmental guilt and being able to get things that are in better condition than charity shops (great for e.g. summer dresses but jumpers are generally bobbly).
There really is a lot of stuff in my wardrobe that needs replacing, like t shirts with small holes in that I've kept for wearing under jumpers - and then feel that I can't take the jumper off. And I've been really lacking in-between clothes than aren't winter and summer. So some of it is practical, honest, but I have to step away from the app! Bought so far: three jumpers, two jumper dresses, three plain t shirts, six slightly more fancy tops, two hoodies, three jackets, a denim skirt (turned out to be the wrong size) a jumpsuit which I love but let's see if I'm brave enough to wear it next summer. Total £130, including postage and fees.
Anyone else got a bit hooked?

I enjoy selling and buying on Vinted and mostly very pleased with what I've bought. Certainly made money from clothes that no longer fit me and cleated space in my cupboards!

I don't like buying clothes for me on there - too much of a gamble on quality and size variations. After postage it's rarely worth it. However, I've had some great bargains on baby items which are brand new. I'm more addicted to selling - I love seeing the money go into my vinted account then I can spend it and it feels like free money!

@RosesAndHellebores my dd worked in retail and a lot of items are resold that are returns or have been worn and 'refreshed'.

If you buy new with tags on Vinted (which I mostly do) then the item is the same as if you went to the shop and someone tried it on once in the changing rooms and didn't purchase it.

Just a thought!

That's not always the case - there are many young women who think nothing of wearing an outfit and reattaching the tags and even returning! My nail spa girls eg.

I happened to see Vinted yesterday as it was thrown up in a search. Some of the crap on there eg a George Asda T shirt for a pound and then it is 1.75 ( is that with postage? and buyer pays? ) I really don't see the point of crap like that.

Nope. The thought of wearing something that has been next to somebody else's sweaty armpits horrified me. I'd rather buy less.

I'm the same. I have just sold 170 pounds worth of clothes on E bay but I would never buy secondhand for myself.

Me too.
But I will happily buy new items, either tagged or not from eBay.
There seems to be a really big market in buying second hand shoes at the moment. I've sold several pairs recently.

I’m addicted, selling and buying! I’ve got 7 parcels to send this evening and over £100 in my balance which will probably be gone in 2 weeks. I have just started a new job with a totally different work wear policy and I have 2 kids under 5 who are growing like crazy! I’ve saved a small fortune and I feel better about getting what we need as I’m terrible for consumerist guilt!

If you don't like the idea of someone wearing something, the filter buy new with tags/without tags is great. I've had people send me the items in the original packaging and the receipt! I think it's people like me who forget to return stuff within the time limit, or try something at home then go off it, or wear shoes in the house and never again. I have just picked up some £150 shoes for £32, exact same model/size as currently in store (I know my size in my two or three fave shoe shops and only get those).
