What jacket or cardy to wear with my new dress?

Bought a new dress today from Primark - black, knee length with short puff sleeves and kind of victorian-type bib front. Sounds vile! but it's nice - not too flouncy at all.

I'm going for a big night out and will be wearing black tights and pewter bar shoes. shiny sparkly make-up and big hair. What kind of jacket or cardy to go with it? would like to avoid black again.

silver bolero type thing?

Disenchanted · 05/03/2008 21:00

like this?

Maidamess · 05/03/2008 21:00

Nothing too fitted as it has puff sleeves. I think you could go black again if it was a different texture. I bought a fab short swing pleated black jacket with 3/4 length sleeves in Matalan, £7!! and it looks like a beautiful thin soft leather.

or this?

that's nice. sleeves a bit short though maybe? night out will be oooop north (so strickly speaking I shouldn't be wearing anything warm at all, but I'm a softy midlander and I need a bit of warmth)

Moomin · 05/03/2008 21:07

ooo am liking the fuzzy furry stuff! But might they make me look a bit bulky up top? I'm a tall size 14-16. don't want to look like biffa bacon

keep em coming! i love looking at all these, like having a set of personal shoppers

would you opt for something like this??

Moomin · 05/03/2008 21:09

Mind you, we're going to a gay club at end of night, so I don't mind going a bit OTT. Am preferring glam over understated for this night out!

Fab suggestions so far - thanks x

Maidamess · 05/03/2008 21:10
