Looking for tips on what can be done for thin eyebrows. Mines are very sparse and need filled in every day. Thinking of microblading but not sure I'm brave enough, is there another option im missing?

If you go for microblading, ask for it to look as light as possible. You don't want that very dark and very thick look. If you want that, you should apply it with a pencil. I don't think it would suit your colouring if it were dark and fashions change, so you don't want to feel stuck with a thick and dark brows when that happens.

Having been around in the early 2000s, I honestly don't think you have a problem. If you combed them up and used a brow gel/hair product, they might look thicker (maybe get it done at a brow salon to observe the technique). You could fill them in a little with a light-ish-coloured pencil. They're fine though, in my opinion.

Thanks, I think that's what's putting me off microblading as scared they will end up too dark and bold. I don't mind filling them in with brow pencil but they start quite far apart so means having to draw on the skin where there's no hair. Might try combing them up, tho they naturally grow downwards. I've ordered a new brow pencil that draws on individual hairs so will give that a bash too.

You have lovely delicate eyebrows that suit your eyes and face. Anything you might do will look artificial, intrusive and gross. Leave them be.

I get mine tinted at a local salon, they put the tint on in a lovely shape that also stains the skin for a while. You could try this to get the feel of whether you might like a more permanent option? Or you could tint them yourself, I do this between appointments but never get the shape as good as they do in the salon.

I would get a matt eyeshadow in a neutral shade close to their natural colour. Then just go over them lightly with a small definer brush in little upward strokes. Anything more than that would be too much imo.

I agree with this in the short term.

There are serums you can use to promote growth if that's something you want to do to increase the thickness over time.

Alternatively I always find that if I tint my brows it picks up some of the blonder hairs and makes them look thicker.

Thanks, will def give the tinting a try and just fill them in naturally. I've tried rapid brow before and it worked to an extent but costs a fortune and doesn't last long. Will look around for something a bit cheaper I think, heard castor oil might work too.

I have naturally weird eyebrows , thick but stop a bit too short. I did microblading and im never looking back!!! It’s possible to find artists who do it very natural ( even for blondes) I spent a lot of time scrutinising peoples portfolios of work on IG before I picked someone.. have done it twice now with no issues
if you do do it, do microblading, not shading/powder etc as those can look a bit more fake as they are filled in whereas blading is hair strokes..

Barebrows · 30/09/2023 15:30

I wish I could see how it would look before it's done, its just so permanent! Very scared in case I don't like it but won't be able to do anything about it. I think you are right about powder/shading, would be very bold on me!

I had combination brows (powder brows and micro blading) I wanted a natural look and was so pleased with the results. Didn't hurt as I was numbed well.

Wow they look amazing! Lovely shape, and very natural, if I could guarantee mines would turn out like this id go for it!

You could try brow lamination. It's less permanent than micro blading and can really help you get natural looking but fuller brows.

@Kisskiss thank you 😊

I've had microblading and I am so pleased with it, like @bonbon2023 very fine strokes that look like natural hairs and a great shape (mine grew up at the end on one side and were very thin on the other!).
I really did my research following lots of microblading artists on instagram for a few months to properly check out their work and find someone who colour matched well.
Agree with the PP who said don't do powder brows if you want a more natural look.

It's honestly the best thing I've done beauty-wise!
