Who sells great jeans for short arses?

I am 5ft and am a size 12 and have always had a nightmare finding jeans that fit properly.
I have a small-ish waist and shapely thighs (see photo on profile of me sitting with ds on wooden horse).They either seem to fit my thighs and gape around my waist or fit my waist and are too tight across my thighs.
Does anybody know where i can buy a pair of jeans-pref dark blue that are for my height and shape????

I tried the belt thing but i have folds and folds of denim which look really lumpy under tops.TBH i never really worry about what size it says in the label if it fits well i can always cut it out if i dont like what it says!

nobodysfool I also am short, with a smaller waist and large thighs! I have the same problem as you. I tend to find some Next jeans OK, and also River Island (they do short length in some styles). The last pair I bought were from there, they are 'skinny flare' but they did go over my thighs!!
I'm not keen on belts which is another problem!
Topshop 'mooch' jeans were also good but I don't think they do those anymore

Looks like i will be trying on lots of jeans over the next week.

will report back when i find some that fits- this will make you laugh i just went on the River ISland site and used their jean selector facility.Put in my size,chioice of finish,leg length(extra short 28") etc then it seraches for possibilities.....it came back with cropped jeans......are they taking the piss?

I tried the jeans selector with the 'short' length and got lots of choices - only problem being that most of them were out of stock!!

I have the same problem - short, small waist, generous thighs! I can't wear belts because then my tops don't sit right and I end up looking like I am hiding something up my jumper.

I brought some limited edition M&S dark blue jeans a while ago which were great. Gap stretch flare in ankle length also fitted really well but I don't think they do them anymore.

Just thought i would let you know that i have bought two pairs of dark blue boot cut jeans from M & Co (formally Makays).
They fit like a dream and are by far the best jeans i have bought.

I didn't even know they had a petite section in my local branch and the cherry on the top was that they were £5 off taking them down to a very cheap £15!
