How can I get sleek straight hair, and stop all this frizz that lays on the top of my hair?? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Nano keratin or similar from your hairdresser

FijiSea · 13/09/2023 23:04

Following as I have exact same issue , can’t afford a hairdresser treatment though , I’d love suggestions of things that could be bought in a shop.

wanttokickoffbutcant · 13/09/2023 23:33

Olapex?

HappiDaze · 14/09/2023 00:10

Elnett hairspray ?

Intelligenthair · 14/09/2023 00:30

L’Oreal 8 second wonder water. It’s INSANELY good.

namestevalian · 14/09/2023 01:00

Colour wow dream
Coat

Ruthietuthie · 14/09/2023 01:10

Keratin treatment at the hairdressers. My hair is frizzy, not not curly. After the treatment, a quick rough dry and it is like glass.

Elnett hairspray ?

I find hairspray doesn't help, the hairs still manage to escape!!!

I used to use Treseme keratin smooth serum but it's been discontinued. Then I didn't find anything else and gave up! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Vaseline.

I rub it on my hands and then lightly from the top to the bottom smooth it down.

It completely stops any little broken off hairs from sticking out like you can see in your photo.

Isthatarealname · 14/09/2023 20:01

Dreamcoat but aldi have a dupe at the moment which is actually very good

Doesn't that make your hair really greasy unless you wash it every day?

Oooh I'd been looking at that but didn't want to pay £25 if I didn't like it.

I’ve had the dreamcoat before (the colour wow one?) and was really disappointed with it, didn’t do anything for me.
My girls have been going on about it recently, it seems to have blown up on TikTok so I gave them my bottle and they gave it back after both saying it didn’t do much for them either!
not sure what to recommend for flyaways really, I use the colourwow coconut cocktail stuff to heat protect and then the Charlotte mensah manketti hair oil and it does seem to control it a bit better, however I really take the time to separate my hair into small sections before straightening, and use a comb with the straighteners.

Pleaseme · 14/09/2023 20:33

Glaze glossing treatment. I use a coloured one but it comes in clear. Makes my hair super shiney/ sleek for about 5 washes. It’s cheaper on Amazon

Pleaseme · 14/09/2023 20:34

Also Percy and reed wonderbalm is good at smoothing over flyaways. It’s in the markies beauty box at the moment.

Barbiesback · 14/09/2023 20:35

Use heat protector spray, hair mask once a week.

nibblemonster · 14/09/2023 20:36

After shampooing rinsing in cold water helps a lot. It flattens the cuticle and really helps with frizz.

Avatartar · 14/09/2023 20:38

Doesn’t work overnight but eat plenty of Marmite

CosyCoffee · 14/09/2023 20:44

L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil before and after drying.

I think I'll stick with the frizzy hair 🤢

I have curly hair and I've tried :

Wonder water
Colour wow
Olaplex at home

^^ all useless

Moroccan oil - okay

Aveda pomade - quite good

I've given up

Anatomyofawaffle · 15/09/2023 08:01

Have you tried a cold rinse after washing hair?

No, maybe I should try that. Cold showers are meant to be good for you anyway, I'll brave it!!

The 3 hour Keratin treatment at your hairdresser would make a phenomenal difference. It turns my hair from 'hedge on a windy day', to 'sleek' for 3+ months.
