From 15ml to 12.5ml.

But no mention of reducing price. Shrinkflation at its finest.

@bryceQ - I’m on 3-month payment plan. I emailed them to ask them to confirm if I’ll continue to get 15ml till the end of my plan cover and they’ve come back with a positive confirmation. I’ve read on FB that annual subscribers had got pro-rated refunds. Worth emailing them & ask for a refund

bryceQ · 14/09/2023 18:50

@iPicky
Thanks i had tons of referal credit so I don't actually think I paid so I doubt they will refund points...

I bought tret a while ago from Tretinoin World in the UK if that's still going?

I didn't use mine in the end and it's probably out of date now

fillyginks · 14/09/2023 20:27

In fact don't buy without checking. There's one called Tretinoin world and another called Tretinoin UK and I don't know which I used or if they're fine to buy from.

I emailed them last night and got this back today:

Thank you for getting in touch with us! We’re very sorry we didn’t fully answer your question in our recent email regarding the bottle size changes, we should have done a better job at communicating this to you.

Unfortunately due to challenging economic conditions, our costs have risen considerably since we launched in 2017. For us to continue operating with the same quality of ingredients and service, we were faced with another price increase. As an alternative, we looked at the bottle size and found:

  • Multiple consumer surveys telling us that customers were either unable to use up their product or delaying their shipment every month.
  • Research by our clinical team on face size variations found that the optimal amount of product for a monthly subscription was 12.5ml. This amount would give customers the recommended two pumps per day, every 28 days, and be in line with market standards.

Rather than increase prices again, we decided that a better customer experience would be to reduce the size of the bottle. This helps us stay one of the most affordable options in personalised prescription dermatology, while remaining £5 lower in price than main competitors in the market for the same bottle size. At this time, we will not be making any further changes to the cost of our treatment.

We hope this explanation offers more context into the decisions around this change. We truly appreciate you as a customer, and thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

Please do let us know if we can offer further assistance.

If they’d just admitted all of that in their original email I would have been less pissed off. It’s the whole ‘we’re giving you less product because that’s what surveys have shown you want’ spiel that really narked me - I do not like being treated as an idiot. Anyway, I’m cancelling my sub and taking my business elsewhere.

iPicky · 14/09/2023 21:28

@Talisin

I really don't like the way they treated us all like morons - so disrespectful. It's gaslighting totally. I'll be cancelling soon too

Hi - I ordered some Tret from FARMACIA TRISTAINA earlier today. I had to use my credit card as they didn’t take PayPal. I still haven’t received any confirmation email. Is that normal?

TIA ☺️

Check your junk mail, you should get an email in the next day or so giving a tracking link (although it's in spanish).

I've used them before a few times and they're fine, but takes about 2 weeks to deliver (I'm in Ireland though, not sure with the UK if it will take longer)

iPicky · 14/09/2023 22:18

@Farmageddon - thanks for your reply 😊 Fingers crossed! No hassle x

Delatron · 14/09/2023 22:45

Yes just wish they’d been more honest. What customer feedback says ‘we want less product and we’ll pay more for it’.

paradoxically2 · 15/09/2023 12:50

I remember the survey. It asked if I used the product in a month and I said no. I think they are right that it lasted more than a month. Their reply to being questioned admitted that it was to save costs with everything going up. I don't have a problem with this

IBelieveInAThingCalledScience · 15/09/2023 14:54

I agree with PPs and I wish consumers would vote with their feet every time brands try this dishonest approach.
