Amazon IPL machine?

Hi. I have a Philips Lumea but it hasn’t worked as well as I hoped. I’m thinking of getting a different brand so had a look on Amazon and there’s some that have great reviews, and they’re about £80-£90. However some of these have a 50% off voucher applied at checkout. Seems great, but has anyone here actually tried any?
We all know amazon have fake reviews with incentives/products/refunds being offered for a positive review.
my friend saw mine charging the other day and said that I shouldn’t have bought a lumea as she has a cheap one and it worked so well that she hardly uses it anymore. Thought it’s worth a try as I can’t have professional laser done (health reasons) and I have pcos so my face is hairier than Dh’s 😂

If a Lumea didn’t work for you a cheaper model really isn’t likely to, I used to work in the category and Lumea really is the best on the market. What’s your hair and skin colouring? And did you follow all the instructions about using other hair removal, timings etc. That’s most likely to be the issue, or the PCOS.

Hi, yes that does make sense but I thought I’d ask anyway
im South Asian, fair skin, brown/black hair.
I did follow the instructions to the letter. Kept a bleeding timetable!

My lumea works great on me but the thing to remember is it doesn't make your skin completely bald. It reduces hair growth over months/years of use, you have to be a bit patient.

I used to be a phenomenally hairy woman (once, two builders shouted across the street that I had a moustache, charming). Now I barely have to do anything, I use the lumea only 2-3 times a year to keep on top of it. But that's after about 5 plus years of monthly use. I also get away with not shaving my legs very often now because the regrowth is subtle, whereas before I'd notice people glancing at my legs in conversation...!

@Mummy08m
thanks for the reply. You seem to be like my sister, she also has pcos and it worked brilliantly for her. She very rarely uses it now

ive had it for about 10 years, I have used it consistently for a couple years here and there. Every 2 weeks when I’m using it, according to the instructions.
I do have some parts of the body where it has worked. But it doesn’t make a difference on my face other than in between my brows and half the moustache!
