Dd (18) has always had nice skin. Occasional spot (or sometimes a small breakout of spots ) around her period, but clear the rest of the time. Very pale and delicate, sensitive skin.
She was away this Summer working outside in high heat and humidity, she needed a lot of sunblock as she is so fair, and when she came home she was quite spotty which didn’t seem surprising given the humid conditions and all the sun cream every day.
However, that was several weeks ago, and it is not clearing up and actually getting worse. She has spots on her temple on one side, near her hair, and between her eyebrows. She does touch her face a lot there out of habit, pushing her hair back etc. She is getting very stressed and upset about it . I bought her some 47skin products I had seen advertised, they helped slightly but still new spots. Hormonally she seems slightly out of kilter . Her cycle is a bit long, periods are roughly regular but one was two weeks late, and her PMT is worse. I am not sure if that warrants a GP trip ?
She is feeling very self conscious now about her skin and I wonder if there is anything I can get her, or do, that might help. I think strong anti spot stuff, eg the Benzoyl peroxide based ones, would be too much for her skin.

If it's affecting her confidence then absolutely would recommend a GP visit.

My DD15 has spots on her Tzone, including between her eyebrows so we have been doing a lot of research. Most recommendations are for salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide products. Cerave and Acnecide are always recommended. Tretoinin (a retinol) also recommended sometimes if old enough.

I've agreed with DD that if she doesn't see an improvement after a month then she should consider going to GP because we've spent a fortune on products!

We've not managed to find an SPF that doesn't break her out yet!

Buy duac from an online pharmacy

I haven’t heard of duac, I will Google.
She doesn’t have typical T zone spots, none on her chin or nose, or her cheeks. They are on her temples, between and on the edges of eyebrows (she does touch there a lot when thinking and has thick brows) and at her hairline. She keeps her hair clean, it is normal hair not particularly oily.

Take her to the GP. My son suffered for ages and was doing all the right things diet/skincare-wise but to no avail. GP prescription has been life-changing - wish we hadn’t waited so long!

I will make a GP appointment .
I have ordered Cerave cleanser.
