Would you complain about these nails?

Had BIAB nails for the first time so I've nothing to compare against. Is this a bad job? First of all it hurt, during and after- my cuticles bled and have now scabbed a bit. And the biab looks all lumpy? Is this normal? Pics attached. I paid £35 and I felt that the person doing it had very little experience- she didn't even file my nails til after the product was on- but because I've only had gel before, not BIAB I'm not sure if that's the norm!

Last time I had a manicure the beautician used a metal grinding thing to remove my cuticles, which then bled, and told me they'd toughen up with regular manicures. Like I'd go back after that? I understand that some nail products don't work well if the nails aren't completely dry, but that wasn't applicable to me.

OP that looks really amateurish and I would complain and ask for them to be redone.

I would not be happy with that at all. They should definitely have been filed first, my manicure lady spends more time buffing and prepping my nails than she does actually applying the product! This is my current BIAB, I paid £20, it's a little grown out after 2 weeks but not thick or lumpy. I would persevere with BIAB as I've personally found it great for growth and strength and it's stopped my chronic anxious nail biting, but find a better beautician.

My daughter is a nail technician and I've just asked her.
She said they are awful and need to complain.

Sorry OP - sounds like someone has just decided to set up a "business" without having any training.

Was it in an actual salon or someone in their own home/mobile?

They're definitely done incorrectly and you should absolutely ask for your money back so you can have them professionally removed.

I'm struggling to see how someone can make BIAB so lumpy! Was it definitely in a bottle and wasn't a tub of gel they applied with a small brush?

I have sent her a complaint. I feel awful as I never complain, but these nails are a joke! Will see what she says.

She used a bottle, but after applying with the brush from the bottle she went over each nail with a very fine brush. She seemed to have no skills whatsoever, and at the end of the appointment she told me she only joined the salon two weeks ago. I suspect now that she only started doing nails two weeks ago as well! To be charging £35 with no experience is cheeky.
She was the only nail tech in the salon so I won't be setting foot back there and will go somewhere else to get this shitshow sorted out!
