Salt-Water sandals - Swimmer and Boardwalk

I loved my Salt-Water sandals but after a one off bout of plantar fasciitis that I managed to exercise/walk off after a few bloody minded, determined weeks, I've avoided flat sole/no support shoes like the plague and sold my Salties on eBay. Has anyone tried the new comfort/soft sole boardwalk or swimmers? Are they supportive and comfortable?

(You don't need to reply that you don't like Salt-Waters at all, thanks, it's just too damn hot for that and doesn't actually help.)

I bought the swimmers after a summer spent in the originals gave me PF. I had high hopes because I loved how they looked but they feel exactly the same on. The only difference is the sole is thicker, they are just as unsupportive.
Bought another pair of Birkenstocks because I can barely wear the swimmers except in very short bursts which defeats the point of them really. They do look fab but now I have two pairs of almost identical sandals that I can’t wear. Save your money (or spend it on Birks!)

I have the boardwalk and they are so much better than the originals for walking. They are my most comfortable sandal apart from my ugly tevas and I have even been wearing them to walk to work. Never managed to get on with the originals. I have Birkenstocks as well but find the Salt water boardwalk more comfy.
