While I think you look nice in the first outfit, I don't think I would show midriff at a work event.

Thanks for all your lovely replies I went with the first outfit also I’m mid forties just lost a stone and half and your lovely comments have really lifted me : )

I think the second one. It looks comfy and flattering incase you get bloated by bottomless cocktails.

I did think the big red squiggle on your face was a fascinator at first and was going to tell you it was a bit OTT for the event 😆
