Pointed boots - how to get my toes used to them?

My very comfortable 7+ year old black round toe, block heel Clark’s ankle boots have finally said enough and has died. I decided to get something more sleek/trendy/fashionable/stylish?? to wear with smart skirts, dresses & wide leg trousers.

I’m not used to pointy & when I tried them on my toes started getting sore quickly. I like the look of them but not so much if they cause achy toes. Anything I can do to help with that?

I had read that thread but most of the boots there are biker, flat or chunky which isn’t what I’m after. There was one from Mango which caught my eye so will see if I can find it in a store to try on.

Thanks for the link. I’ve just bought these. Not sure if they will be too big. But cowboy boots aren’t roomy so I’ve chanced buying the 8. A bit higher than I wanted so idk how much I will wear them but a bargain and I can always return if they’re not suitable.

I like Arket for boots. They have a variety of heel heights and styles… im
personally a fan of Cuban heels as they’re comfortable to run around in the day and give just enough amount of height. Not toooo pointy though.

One thing I refuse to do is wear shoes that make my feet hurt. Why would you do that.

I'm always in comfy shoes or trainers but do sometimes want to look smarter. I usually get pointy boots from M&S with the insolia padding. I believe they come in wide sizes too.

I've no bunions (at 50) so don't think they are doing too much damage. I wear them with long skirts, work dresses, trousers and skinny jeans
