Dress help - registry office in 2 weeks!

Robertwars · 05/09/2023 08:51

I am having the smallest of Ceremonies ( 2 witnesses) in a couple of weeks and struggling for a dress . Will have a party at a later date but would love a pretty but casual dress for the day .

I am late forties. 5 ft 7, size 14 but with large boobs . Would rather arms covered and a midaxi length. Also the the menopause has gifted me a tummy so something to disguise that!

My style is quite informal, slightly hippyish so that would be my comfort zone.

Any help gratefully recieved- i am behgining to lose the will ...
budget up to £100 😆

Now that's a brand I'd forgotten about. There's some great Zimmerman/ Erdem inspired dresses there.

I know what you mean. Toast would have been a good shout for embroidered boho-esque dresses, but wouldn’t have matched OP’s budget 😬.

Thank you so much everyone, so many suggestions - it has really got me out of a hole ! I have ordered a couple of dresses from warehouse and This from East which I absolutely love although over budget but would definitely wear again 🙃

Love this dress

Robertwars · 24/09/2023 16:58

Hi , just to update , the East dress was beautiful but really thick material and just made me too hot . In the end I got this Dress from Traffic people which I really loved and felt very "me" in . And it was a lovely day - totally relaxed and just what I wanted - two friends for the service then a gorgeous meal with them and the kids 😊

Thank you so much for all the suggestions 💐

Edited

Don't get married in a jolie moi dress. They are a standard help I need a wedding guest dress. They are polyester and look cheap. Which is fine for every day or as a guest. But not for the bride.

Take a look at Roman - lots of reasonably priced dresses
