Where to buy real rather than fake Biore uv Watery Essence

Does anyone have a recommendation of where I can buy legitimate Korean Biore Watery Essence? I am so wary of buying fake products. I also don’t want the Canadian/English version that Superdrug sells as I tried it and it made my skin burn.
thank you!

YesStyle (online shop) sells Korean and Japanese skincare, including Biore. It’s legitimate but can take a week or so to arrive

wasahoarder · 03/09/2023 14:07

Lightbulb moment for me.
I bought it from Amazon and it didn't protect my face at all, just realising it was probably fake. Why didn't I consider this?!

TheLongGloriesOfTheWinterMoon · 03/09/2023 14:10

I used to buy it from eBay but shipped from Japan.
YesStyle worth a punt though their stuff can often be blocked at customs.

Hippopotaperson · 03/09/2023 14:23

Ok, I’ll try Yesstyle. I didn’t know if that was a legitimate company or not.

Or Pureseoul.co.uk might have it but probably more expensive than YesStyle. They also have a shop in London

Biscuitsneeded · 03/09/2023 14:45

How would you know if it was real or fake? Unless you burned horribly while wearing it? I get it because I am very fair and have had precancerous lesions on my face, but I order it from Amazon - is there a risk it's not right?

Hippopotaperson · 03/09/2023 14:53

@Biscuitsneeded you wouldn’t necessarily know it’s fake as you’re unlikely to burn horribly when wearing it during a typical British spring-autumn-winter. I’ve heard so many people say they’ve got a fake that I don’t want to risk it. They say that the spread ability or colour or smell aren’t t quite right but I’m rubbish at those sort of sensory things.

Superdrug

Hippopotaperson · 03/09/2023 14:54

Pure Seoul have a shop in London! Off to check that out.

Nope, they don’t stock Biore

You can buy it from Japanese amazon, there are international delivery options there (just checked) although postage costs are gonna be high

bryceQ · 04/09/2023 05:44

Yesstyle or Stylevana - I buy lots of korean products

Superdrug

They have this on special offer in Superdrug at the moment.

Superdrug

Read the OP?

Hippopotaperson · 04/09/2023 07:20

I was so excited when I saw Superdrug stocked it that I bought two. It’s not the same product as the Korean on. I tried it once and had a horrible reaction to it.

I went to Yesstyle and bought on that’s in stock. The “deliver in 21 days” was cheaper but I wanted something that would arrive from the uk so it was t held up in customs.

This is not a helpful answer, sorry...

I've been wanting to try this stuff for years, having seen it recommended on mumsnet, but never bought it, as I was wary of the fakes that mumsnetters had also been sold.

Got very excited when it appeared in superdrug, only to read negative reviews of the UK formulation, (like yours).

Have decided to give it a miss. There's no way I'd take a risk with spf.

whatamess100 · 04/09/2023 07:48

Superdrug sell it

Hippopotaperson · 04/09/2023 11:50

@whatamess100 the product that Superdrug sell is not the product I require! They sell a different formulation for the uk/Canadian market and it makes my skin sore.

Hippopotaperson · 04/09/2023 11:51

I’ll try Skin Cupid next time, and Amazon Japan.

Sorry, I obviously didn't read the question properly! I bought some in Superdrug but haven't tried it yet as I have a bit of a stash I'm using. Ultra Violette for me atm which is pretty good

Hippopotaperson · 04/09/2023 18:44

I’d be interested in knowing what you do think of the Suoerdrug Biore when you try it. As well as making me sore it didn’t spread as well as the Korean one and had a white cast.

I think I got a sample of UltraViolette from SpaceNk but it was a bit sticky for me.

My YesStyle Biore arrived yesterday. It was supposedly in stock and I thought it would arrive faster than two weeks. The bottle looks different to previous bottles though. YesStyle wouldn’t sell fakes would they? Has the bottle just changed?

Yes, they change the look of the packaging often, with every formulation change. That's the new 2023 packaging which can be refilled, as seen here.

toucaninjapan · 20/09/2023 13:07

Yes that's the current design. Btw Biore is Japanese and not Korean
