Wireless bra shopping GG

TruthThatsHardAsSteel · 27/08/2023 22:24

Just thought I would share my first experience of wireless bra shopping in Marks & Spencers. For years I have just bought this bra on repeat - https://www.bravissimo.com/products/envy-bra-pn116/#black-pn116blk

I spent a good couple of hours in trying different sizes on and thought it might help others to see what sizes I ended up buying.

I am a 36GG and had to try a lot of wireless sizes on to get one that fits correctly. My size is from bravissimo, I didn't need M&S staff helping or measuring.

There's one I couldn't get in the size I needed so the size is written on the picture.

I was very happy to get 2 wired bras for less than £36 a go. £20 a bra is unheard of for me!

I've always been dubious about non wired bras, so thought I would share in case this helped someone.

Awwww no one cares 😂. I'm wearing the top right wireless one. Very comfortable & secure. It was £7 in the sale 🤯.

I got some reduced stripy cotton pj's too.

They look good, but I tend to get a really bad monoboob effect with non wired! Do these give reasonable separation?

TruthThatsHardAsSteel · 29/08/2023 03:27

That was my main concern so by actually trying them on first, I was able to tailor the size as I liked 3 (bought 2), none of which are my actual size. It's worth going in trying them on to see how you like the fit and if you get the monoboob

So I feel comfy and only wearing in the house. It's a nice rest from wires

Wireless were 38gg, 38e and 38d/e when I've been 36gg for years.

Fantastic. I haven't shopped there in years. I didn't know they stocked these sizes!

BusterGonad · 29/08/2023 04:10

This post is really confusing. I hveno clue on which size you bought what. What I will add is that I have the M&S Flexifit bra and its the comfiest bra I've ever worn. I did ABTF calculator and came up as a 36GG. Fit like a dream. I maybe could've gone to a 34GG/H but I bought them from overseas so I couldn't risk it.

TruthThatsHardAsSteel · 29/08/2023 04:40

My actual correct Size is 36gg
I had to get different sizes to fit in the wireless.

www.marksandspencer.com/post-surgery-flexifit-full-cup-bra-a-h/p/clp60451105 - 38E £7 in the sale

www.marksandspencer.com/flexifit-non-wired-full-cup-bra/p/clp60438189?intid=mobile_app_pdp_share - 38D £22

www.marksandspencer.com/lace-non-wired-non-padded-bralet-f-/p/clp60451802?intid=mobile_app_pdp_share - I needed a 38 D or E in this one but they didn't have it. £22

The other two wired bras are 36gg - my regular size. Bargain price of £20

You did get the flexifit, aren't they comfortable. I just love them.

Freysimo · 29/08/2023 07:54

I love the Flexifit M and S. I'm 32f and didn't know they did this size either. I bought one for fit then another on line for £12.

Yeah I'm gonna try it tomorrow! It felt good on in the shop. Sorry for my post being confusing, I thought I was being clear 🙃. I was just excited as I never thought I could go wire free.

At least now I can keep an eye out online for bargains as I know what size I need!

I bought a couple of non-wired ones from M&S and yes, they gave me serious mono boob that seems to flatten out so I looked like my grandmother. Needless to say only wear them if I'm at home or know I will only need to pop to the shop for a pint of milk for instance.

bookmarket · 29/08/2023 22:55

My DD has the Lacey non-wired bralette in 34G and it's fabulous on.

dementedpixie · 29/08/2023 23:07

M&S miss out FF so your GG would be an H in their sizes

BashCandicoot · 29/08/2023 23:11

I bought a flexifit from M&S and went back the next week for 2 more. Best and comfiest bra ever. Also I’ve got round shoulders and most bras end
up with the straps slipping down. Not this one. LOVE them!

I have the lace bra bralette in 38gg and they're amazing. No monoboob and fit better than most wired bras I've had. However when i went back I bought a Jersey one in the same size but its too small and gives me double boobs

BusterGonad · 30/08/2023 07:51

dementedpixie · 29/08/2023 23:07

Surely that would make a G a FF and a GG a G? I bought their lace bralette in a G as I thought I was a FF at the time. So of you're a FF what size would you wear on M&S?

They don't give loads of uplift but I'm all about comfort at the moment. I would love some Underwired bras for when I want to look a bit more put together but I don't live in the uk so I have to order them in, I just can't afford to order bras and have them not fit correctly. With a non wired bra they mould a bit more to your shape iyswim.

dementedpixie · 30/08/2023 08:14

@BusterGonad As they miss out FF you'd go to a G if FF is your cup size therefore you need to go up a cup size for each size after that e.g. FF = G, G = GG, GG = H, etc

BusterGonad · 30/08/2023 08:17

That doesn't make sense. A FF is a G, so a G is a GG. So I'm wearing a GG which means I'm wearing a G in any other bra size.

BusterGonad · 30/08/2023 08:17

Brand.

BusterGonad · 30/08/2023 08:18

Oh goodness. Sorry. Yes we're saying the same things. Sorry @dedementedpixie

BusterGonad · 30/08/2023 08:19

I stupidly thought that you were saying I'm wearing an H cup. 😂😂😂

dementedpixie · 30/08/2023 08:20

Why doesn't it make sense?
Not all bras of the same size fit the same and different styles may fit differently too. I wear some 36GG and some 36H depending on brand and style.
