Trainers

I’m looking for new trainers to wear when on holiday, for walking mainly. I’m a size 8 sometimes needing a wide fit so I really would prefer something not too bulky as my feet are big enough already! Preferably lightweight too.

Any suggestions?

And are white trainers still a thing or has that ship sailed?

Many thanks.

Skechers. Not trendy but comfortable and lightweight.

Not sure if they’re too bulky but my son has wide feet. I would say he’s a size 8 but needs a 9 in Nike air 90s. These are one of the few shoes that will fit him

Thanks both, will have a look.

The thing with trainers for me is that I need to try them all on. Round toes really don’t suit me, aka some new balance trainers. I am a size 7 but I definitely need an 8 in trainers. I also don’t suit plain white trainers.

I have wide feet and wear my sketchers alot, super comfy.

I treated myself recently to a new pair of white Nike, upon delivery they were really heavy and I imagined super hot sweaty feet which would stink in a few weeks, so I returned them and stuck with the sketchers.

White trainers and Supergas still seem to be a thing.
I don't find Vejas or Adidas comfortable and they seem a bit heavy and sweaty.
If you aren't too fussy on trainers and are a bit limited on budget, and don't care as long as they last your holiday, Primark or supermarket knit type ones might be OK or try online sports shop running shoes. Something like ASICS Patriot 13 Women's Running Shoes - SS23 - 40% Off | SportsShoes.com

If you like your trainers to be branded, I've found NB in a wide fitting and Asics to be comfortable.
Nikes tend to be short for their size.
If you are going to be walking a lot and it's hot, make sure there is enough space at the toes.

Avoid Converse type shoes as they offer no arch support.
