Daughter's tan

Looking for any suggestions or tips for my DD16, she's mixed race, I'm white and DH is Asian. DD is mostly the same colour as me but when she gets the sun she goes really brown. During our recent holiday due to misapplication of suncream and slight sunburn her tan is patchy. She's self conscious about it so won't wear her usual school uniform and is hiding beneath clothes that are too hot at this time of year. Does anyone have any advice or can recommend any products to even out her skin tone or even fade her tan naturally? I have little experience as I usually burn then go back to white again. Thanks in advance

Loose cotton long-sleeved shirt and trousers or midi skirt.

My younger sister has olive skin & gets vitiligo patches when she tans so she blends the white patches & suntanned areas together with fake tan.

But you do have to know what you're doing with fake tan or it could look worse than a patchy real tan!

Your daughter could use an exfoliating scrub daily when showering to make her patchy suntan wear off quicker then hydrate her damaged skin with a good body lotion (because a suntan / sunburn are the signs of sun damage).

I think that in future she should wear at least spf30 on her body and spf50 on her face if she doesn't already, and reapply regularly when in the sun.
