Did we ever work out where those little holes come from?

The small ones in the front of t-shirts around belly button height.

Another t-shirt mysteriously developed them today. It’s only a month or so old.

Yes they do! I've caught a moth the size of a coaster eating one of my 100% cotton nighties. Loads of my stuff has moth holes

Not only do moths not eat cotton (unless it's soiled with something edible), the moths themselves don't eat clothes at all. It's their larvae which eat wool and silk. If a large moth was sitting on your T shirt then it was having a nap.

It isn’t moths! Moths eat wool, not cotton and why would they eat clothes in such a specific area? And it’s not the moths anyway, it’s their caterpillars.

Mine were from kitchen worktops. The holes only happened in one house I lived in where I had stone worktops and it eas such a nice kitchen I did a lot of cooking. I never tuck t-shirts in maybe that is it.

Haven't read thread but since I made sure not to lean against my granite worksurface I have had no more holes.

@JulesGeebee yes those are the exact type of holes in my tops! Must try not to lean against kitchen surfaces anymore!!!
