AVOID holy grail nails

I've been using Holy Grail Nails since September (I think I posted about them). Never had a problem, wore well, delivered fine etc. They encouraged ordering via the app. Bought 3 sets. One fine, the other showed grey when delivered but I had bought white, and the last were black glitter, I had wanted black gloss. Contacted customer service, she asked for feedback on the app, so I explained (politely) that it wasn't as clear as you can't zoom in so I couldn't see the black I ordered was glitter. I had the rudest response and when I wrote back and (again politely) explained I was upset by the response, she said I wasn't happy with my products so send them back and get a refund (not as polite as that). I explained again that one set I was fine with, the white ones she had explained although the packet colour is grey they are white (odd but fine), so it was just the fact that using the app I couldn't see one set was glitter.
I am left shaken by the poor customer service, it really impacted my day and evening yesterday. I asked to speak to a manager but of course no reply. I know it sounds silly, but it was so completely uncalled for and unprofessional.
If anyone can recommend any similar products (I used the ones you cure under a lamp, not just the stick and go ones), please do recommend.

The service wasn't great, but your reaction sounds excessive. You weren't happy and they offered a refund; case closed.

Caprisunny · 12/08/2023 11:18

Really shaken because they pointed out (even rudely) that you got what you ordered.

They also advised you to send them back as you are unhappy.

i can imagine they could have been more polite, but been shaken and it upsetting you this much is a bit of an over reaction.

Ultimately, you ordered the wrong ones or they didn’t look like the photo and they offered a refund to return them. What else would you have liked them to do?

apart from be a more polite? Do you think they took your manner as rude as well?

BarbaraV · 12/08/2023 11:43

Shaken? Ruined your day and night? That's a massive overreaction. How are you feeling in yourself?

PurpleSteak · 12/08/2023 11:54

Individually they're low value items. I'd just accept the colour issue as a pitfall of online shopping and use them anyway tbh.

This seems a very high level of drama.

No, shaken because of the tone of the response given she had asked me to give further details and then told me I was unhappy with the whole order, which I wasn't. Interestingly, I looked up the business owner and got in contact with her directly copying her the emails that her employee sent me, and her response to me (a couple of hours ago...after I had posted this) was very apologetic and told me it will be dealt with internally, so clearly it wasn't an acceptable response.

I think you need to get out more, don’t be ridiculous.

No, shaken because of the tone of the response given

What exactly did they say?

nameitagain · 12/08/2023 19:58

It would help if you actually told us what the response was.

To be fair, I have been a manager in customer service. And a business owner. If someone said they were upset for bear on 2 days because they didn’t like someone’s tone on email and had been shaking over it…I would be inclined to say the same and do nothing at all.

Cutie101 · 12/08/2023 20:53

Sorry just seen these responses.
@Caprisunny you would be inclined to say the same and do nothing at all, but having seen how I was spoken to by her member of staff, the owner apologised and sent through a refund without another question, so clearly she could see what had been said and how it had been said wasn't acceptable.
