Liquid eyeliner - easy to do winged eyeliner

I am very confident with doing my own make up except for one thing. I hardly ever do winged eyeliner so now I just don't know how to do it nicely.

I have an eyeliner at home but obviously haven't used it for a while and it was a bit dry.

I want to buy a new one and wonder if you have any recommendations for something that's easy to use.

I, too, have the same issue. Somehow just never really got it. I used to mainly use the kohl type pencils but they never stayed shape enough, so then moved on to more of a gel - the one I use mainly is a maybeline. My daughter is very good at doing winged though, and mainly she uses this huda one - it's £18 from boots, and it's the one I always get her as a stocking filler type gift at Christmas. Lisa Eldridge has a good video on an easy winged eyeliner using a little brush.

Cheap as chips - the collection (2000) felt tip liner, it’s about £3 and lasts all day till you take it off. It’s just the right amount of bend to do the flick without it being completely soft. I’ve worked for Clinique and then Chanel for 15 years and it’s still the best I’ve tried (!)

The cheap as chips to the eye wateringly expensive. Goes on very smoothly with a very black line and isn’t prone to smudging.

The one downside I’ve found is that it does like to be stored upright and it has bled a little if I’ve been travelling and it’s been stored sideways in a make up bag.

I like an angled brush and an eyeliner in a little pot. Using an Illamasqua eyeliner at the moment but there are lots of others (MAC fluidline etc). You make a little triangle shape then fill it in. Lots of tutorials online.

@Whatwaswrongwiththatusername I bought a Maybelline one today. Like a felt tip type. I like a couple of their mascaras so got them in 3 for 2 at Superdrug.

I can do pencil (and in fact don't bother with any line most days!) but I think liquid gives a defined look that I'd like for some events coming up.

@WhereAreWeNow Thanks! Love Lisa Eldridge. I do think I used to fine gel pot and brush types easier! @Zhougzhoug

Will look out for this one @ColonelRhubarbBikini I was in boots today as well but annoyingly hadn't looked at the replies to this thread

The Eyeko black magic (black) & cocoa edit (brown) pens are nice..last for ages without leaking, easy to apply & stay on well. Always have offers on if you sign up too.
