Best serum for firming up lower face around chin/jowls

I could have fillers higher up in the face to help with this I have been advised but really not looking to get fillers so hoping for a recommendation for anything that might help - realise nothing can get rid (other than a face lift!)
many thanks indeed.

I don’t really think any serum or cream will make much difference really. Gravity is gravity sadly!

You could look at a Nu Face electric device. Or a course of CACI facials - they do ones specifically for jowls as far as I remember.

True. Serums and creams won't help.

Fillers, facelift.

Ah as I thought - I do have a microcurrent device so will resurrect it and restart.
The filler issue - have been advised that cannot sleep on my side for 3 nights whilst they settle - I cannot see how I can ensure that and concerned about the bruising as I have a public facing job and do not/cannot wear make up to cover any.

I don't think that's right. I've never heard that to be honest. Avoiding exercise for 24-48 hours, yes. You're not necessarily going to bruise depending on the filler location and method (cannula least likely to bruise ime)

Creams and serums make your face feel soft and smooth. But they can't reverse or alter your changing jaw. As you age, your chin and jaw actually begin to recede which is why jowls become a thing.

Freshair1 · 04/08/2023 16:42

I mean, what about a lower face lift? You can get minimally invasive ones where they stitch in your ear line.

PilatesPeach · 04/08/2023 17:04

I don't think it is that bad to go straight for a face lift. I would try fillers first.

Goodo. I keep mulling over fillers for eye troughs but that comes with needing facial fillers to hold in place the trough fillers! So I settled on Botox.

A gua sha has made a huge difference to my jawline in a couple of weeks

HaveYouHeardOfARoadAtlas · 04/08/2023 17:42

Has anyone tried monothreads or cog threads? A salon near me is offering these and say they help with sagging. How do you know whether to have these or fillers?

I got one of these in an advent calendar but I've never used it. What routine do you follow?

fireflyloo · 04/08/2023 17:47

I had a hydra facial with potenza and it firmed up my chin/ jowl area.

SiobahnRoy · 04/08/2023 17:50

I just follow the instructions that came with it @AnneShirleysNewDress it’s from beauty pie

TheLurpackYears · 04/08/2023 17:50

I had alot of work done on my fave and jaw by a private physio who was sorting out shoulder and neck problems for me and it lifted my whole face, straight way my normally droopy eyes were able to open without me lifting my eyebrows. Maybe there's a beauty therapy version if this ?

Back21970 · 04/08/2023 18:02

I recall seeing chin firming masks somewhere, effect temporary but may be worth a go.

I know people who have tried this. Expensive, painful, minimal results and temporary. And downtime involved. I'd rather have a lower facelift.

Creams, facials, micro needling, rubbing jade over your face (gua sha) isn't going to pull up your jowls.

Fillers or facelift.
