Non wired supportive bras

Absolutely fed up with putting up with uncomfortable bras. I wore non wired til a few years ago when I felt I needed more support (age 54, boobs are getting scarily saggy).
But while I know I look better in my supportive wired ones none of them are comfortable, and they rub in places. And they've been fitted properly in lingerie departments/shops. And my existing non wired ones are just too droopy and are also uncomfortable for that reason. And/or my boobs wobble out over the top which looks terrible.
Can anyone recommend something for me to try?
The last time I was fitted a year ago Bravissimo reckoned I was FFcup which seems bigger than I feel.
Thank you

Mate I’m around a 34K and I won’t wear underwires ever again.

Try Molke. You won’t win any sexy awards but your boobs will be comfy and supported.

I have one from Bravissimo, but it comes a little on the big side

I don’t find wired bras supportive at all. They’re uncomfortable, you can’t run or do anything active in them.

and why do they always insist on using itchy scratchy lace instead of comfy fabric.

I’ve worn sports bras since I needed a bra. Shock absorber are good if you want high impact, M&S used to do good ones as well- not as tight and restrictive as a high impact bra but still can run without knocking yourself out.

my active DD’s wear Nike/Gymshark/under armour crop top style sports bras.

I'll try those suggestions... Thank you so much.

I have to agree with M&S flexifit. I’m a 30FFish but wear a 32E because it’s the closest size they make, and I have sensory issues with tight bands these days anyway.

Molke are great and really comfy, I just find them a total faff to get on and off 😂 Definitely not one for swimming days!

Was just looking at the Molke ones and wondered how you got them on and off!

I think they do a flexi size version which has hook and eye fastening like a normal bra but I haven’t tried it.

I think it depends on your shape as well. My shoulders are much much wider than my underbust (swimmer/lifter’s build!) so it’s very hard 😂

You step into and pull up a Molke bra and pull it down and step out to take it off.
Miss Mary of Sweden makes wonderful cotton non wired bras that are pretty and comfortable. You need to go up a band size though.

99% sure I would get horribly stuck if I did this… but I’m going to try in the same of science.

The first time you put on a Molke bra you wonder if you are going to have to cal the emergency services. Step in, pull up to your bust, put one arm in at a time and hopefully you will experience the joy of The Molke.
good luck ! 😄

Quick update, I'm now a happy owner of one of m&s ones mentioned above. Very comfy so far, will be buying more. Thank you so much. I'm also going to try a Molke one.

I came on to say the M and S Flexifit, but see you’ve sorted with them. I treat those like my going out bras now and just wear cropped tops if not facing the public!

I've given up on bras this year at 43. I lost a lot of weight and just could never get one to fit me. I bought some sports bras (which I've never worn before) and I'm converted. I've two from TK Maxx which were Puma ones and they are very supportive but don't give you a really flat saggy chest like some do.

Sittingonasale · 03/08/2023 02:57

Oh and can anyone else still not do up/take off a bra from behind at my age? 😩
