Nail care routine

I have bitten my nails and picked the skin around them for… a long time and I really want to get them looking a bit better! Can anyone recommend an ‘at home’ routine for improving them?

I don’t really want to go for gels because I’ve had melanoma and have been advised to minimise UV exposure.

but are there good conditioning treatments, nail files etc that I could use to improve the condition of them?

stop biting
oil on the cuticles at least once a day
collagen capsules for strength

I get a deluxe manicure with full cuticle work and heated mits 3 x p/a
Manicurist Complete Serum
I also have to take prescription food supplements due to a long term ED (in recovery now, but I still need vits due to internal damage)

My nails were shit, obs a starving body won't prioritise nails, but I've been in recovery for years and my nails only improved when I added the serum and the manicures.

Get a little tin of vaseline and rub that into your cuticles last thing at night (after brushing teeth and washing hands). Get a pack of wooden cuticle sticks and gently push the cuticle back when your skin is soft and warm after showering. Paint your nails with Stop N Grow to discourage biting.

I recommend her all the time but check out The Salon Life on YouTube. Loads of free advice.
