Comfortable but smart travel clothes?

I'm going to be travelling long distance for 4 days by car, any ideas what I can wear that will be comfortable and light (weather likely to be around 24 - 26C) but won't crease too badly?

There will be stop offs to visit family/friends & we will be going to restaurants for lunch/dinner & I don't really want to be changing clothes at every stop then changing back for the next leg of the journey. Does anything exist as I'm stumped..

I would personally wear a dress that doesn't crease easily. Nice and cool and comfy.

Craghoppers and Patagonia do some quite nice simple non wrinkle travel clothes, including quite a few dresses.

seasalt / fat face / m and s do jersey dresses / tops that would work. M and S / next have summer dresses made of viscose which often work depending on the blend (you will be able to tell / scrunch it in your hand)

If you want trousers, next do stretch chinos and I expect some of the others above do too. For jeans ones with lyocell are coolest, m and s do some.

Seasalt larissa shirts are pretty anti wrinkle and cool.

Are you likely to be in air conditioning in restaurants/people's houses?

I'd second the suggestion of jersey/lycra dress. If when you get out of the car you add an overshirt or denim or othet jacket (blazer, quilted, whatever) and you look otherwise groomed then you won't look scruffy.

Thanks, there will be air conditioning in the restaurants so good idea to take a blazer/jacket.

My worry with jersey is it clinging to all the lumps and bumps but maybe an empire line could work?

Don't buy it too small. I wear an M&S cool comfort slip underneath
