Botox brow lift - anyone had one?

Hi!

I've had Botox a handful of times for my crows feet and always been pretty happy. I don't really have wrinkles anywhere else so have never considered getting any other areas done.

However - I have recently been diagnosed with a chronic condition that seems to have massively aged my face and particularly the eye area over the last few months. I still don't have wrinkles (other than the crows feet which I last had done about 6 months ago, so are overdue anyway!). BUT the skin above my eyes has become really saggy and papery - I now have proper 'hoods' - and it's really getting me down 😔.

I was vaguely looking at eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) but that seems really drastic. Now I've come across the option of a 'Botox brow lift' - obviously the before and after photos all look great but I was wondering if anyone here had actually had it done, or known anyone who has, and whether it worked?? Particularly if you had really quite bad sagging of the upper eye area?

TL;DR - has anyone here had a Botox brow lift and would you recommend?

Thanks!!

I’d like the answer to this question too!

I don't know if it is classed as a brow lift but I get Botox for this every reason and it definitely raises your eyebrows and opens up your eyes a bit. I get it about every 5/6 months. I have one line across my forehead which is erased too. I'm very happy with it.

Yes I have baby botox (small dose) for this and one 11. It works definitely and I can tell when it’s wearing off. Sadly this is getting quicker and quicker and now I’m lucky if my Botox lasts 6-8 weeks which is making it very expensive.

I find Botox makes my lids look heavier

They say that they depends on the skill of the practitioner.

I have a Botox brow lift every three months and it definitely gives me a mini upper facelift and makes my eyelids look less hooded. You will need to check with your injector that they actually know how to do the brow lift though, as it's injected slightly differently to normal Botox. If they don't know how to do it and they inject too much into centre of the forehead, it can actually have the opposite effect and push your eyebrows downwards. I go to Therapie Clinic. There are branches all over the UK and it's 225 for three areas (which will give you the brow lift). That's cheap for Botox these days, although I don't think they use actual Botox, rather, an unbranded cheaper version of the same type of thing.

It depends on where the Botox is injected. The muscles of the frown line area work in a downward motion, so injecting here helps to lift the brows. I have had this area injected for years and a few times the nurse injected near the outer part of my eyebrows too (below the hair of the eyebrows) and this gave a lovely subtle lifted look.

The muscles on the bulk of your forehead (where the horizontal lines form) work in an upward motion, so injecting here can potentially make your eyebrows look lower.

So depends on where you have injected, one or the other or both!

Yes, you can have it done but be careful they don't give you the surprised eyebrow look and specify that. Go for a consultation somewhere reputable. Plenty of places offer this.

Agree far less drastic than surgery alternative
