Laser on face - how many weeks apart?

Im currently getting super hair removal (which is a type of laser I believe) on my chin. My hair is thick and coarse and seems to have gotten worse during the laser sessions. I have had 2 sessions so far 2 weeks apart where the interval was recommended by the lady performing the treatment. The hair seems to be growing more quickly and I’m shaving daily now. How many weeks between sessions is normal? I’ve read it’s about 4 weeks so confused as to why she’s saying 2 weeks.

I am having my chin done atm. My first 2 sessions were 4 weeks apart.

and now i’m every 6 weeks on my 5th treatment now.

what was your method of removal before?

i used to thread so the first weeks in between where i could only shave i felt like i had so much hair, after my 2nd session the hairs would come easily when i pulled. Third i have 1/2 stubborn ones.

2 weeks does seem excessive as the growth cycles aren’t that quick. Unless she is trying to capture everything on the first cycle and then might space it out after that once she knows what she is working with.

I was tweezing and threading before hand but now the hair seem to be coming out excessively. Not sure if it’s to do shaving and realising actually how many hairs I had. I’m going to ask her spread out the sessions as Iv read every where at least 4 weeks apart.

Yeh its more likley that you’re not removing hair from the roots atm so it will seem like you have more.

hopefully you will see results, i’m so happy i did mine as it was such a big thing and really affected my confidence.

I did laser on the moustache and then the hair came back (though it took a few years, it wasn't instant). That's when I started looking into electrolysis and realised that for some people the laser actually stimulates hair follicles that are lurking beneath the surface but never came out (funny how nobody had ever mentioned that to me but it seems to be known). For those unlucky people, laser will result in a much hairier face. Unfortunately this usually takes a while for one to realise. So, if I were you, given you've seen what happens so fast, I'd move on straight to electrolysis or you might end up with an even hairier face.
Also, I looked into lasers recently (before going with the electrolysis) and I haven't read anything about a "super laser"... Regardless I think 3 to 4 weeks is still the norm for lasers. Or you might end up with burns and the hair needs "time to come out". Also, in case nobody told you this, you need SPF every single day during laser sessions, not just while it's red. If you're going to the beach postpone your sessions till winter or you might end up with spots. Don't do laser at least a month before going on holiday.

Mine were 4 wks apart op on my lip. Think I need more she said face is quite hormonal. I did notice quick regrowth.

I have read this too. I had originally gone in for electrolysis but she convinced me to get the super hair removal instead as I didn’t realise it was laser. She was saying it’s much better than electrolysis and had other women with similar issues in it who had seen great results. Wish I had just proceeded with electrolysis 🤦🏻‍♀️

OP, there isn't a "fast route" if we want it to be permanent unfortunately. It takes time for hair to grow, that is a fact and there's no escape, so neither laser nor electrolysis should be weekly. For some people it'll grow faster but it still takes time to grow. Electrolysis, unlike laser, when you start you can do more sessions (I did it weekly) but that's because they don't remove all of the visible hair in one go, so the next week there was still hair to remove, as you go on you have to spread out your sessions.
Laser is never a permanent solution, the only solution recognised as permanent (both legally and medically) is electrolysis.
Electrolysis is more expensive (where I am anyway but I'm abroad) but in the long run for us it'll end up being cheaper, because that hair will never grow again whereas with laser they can drag it out more (using lighter settings) and sooner or later you end up coming up to the same place for more laser so you spend more money (that's my very subjective view on this).
In my case, when I first did laser it worked beautifully. I was very happy with the results but the hair came back and worse, though I'm sure hormonal changes contributed to that. So I'm sure a lot of people are still very very happy they went with laser but depending on age, genetics and hormones, in the long run chances are it won't be permanent.
Also, I need to add she also tried to convince me to go with laser (again). The thing is she then went on about how her colleague does laser monthly and has been doing it for ages on her own face "because of her hormones" so "it's normal", so I'm sorry but what the eff!? Doing laser monthly forever is just not a possibility. It was a good thing she tried to oversell it to me or I'd have been tempted to go with laser again (even though I'd already done it and it didn't work).
