Best solution for vertical frown line? (Pic)

What would be the best solution for this annoying little bugger? Cost and frequency?

I’ve had it for years but now I’m hurtling towards 50 it’s getting even worse.

I’ve always assumed botox would be the solution but I’ve never had anything like that and don’t know anyone else who has so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Botox gets rid of mine!

Werewolfnotswearwolf · 18/07/2023 21:12

Botox is the answer! But really, yours doesn’t look bad at all.
I’m 35 and mine is much worse - had a bit a year or so ago and it looked amazing. Can’t afford to get it topped up atm but as soon as I can I’ll be on it again.

Dermatica (tretinoin) has reversed a nasty one on my head that had formed and was starting to bed in. Mine wasn't in the middle but slightly offset, so I must do something odd with that brow to cause it. I got a discount code to try it on here so am paying it forward by sharing my code. You can try it for the first month for £2.90 then get a tenner off the month after so it's cheap to give it a go.

@Leafytrees thank you! Definitely worth a try before I do anything more drastic.

@Werewolfnotswearwolf I’m actually smiling in that pic which is what winds me up…I look permanently grumpy and stressed even when I’m not.

Botox 100%. Works like a dream.

Screamingabdabz · 18/07/2023 21:44

Honestly Botox isn’t ‘drastic’ - I’m the least botoxy person - frumpy, fat, not high maintenance at all… I only get it because my niece offers to do it for me. It takes a few minutes and the frown line is gone. Nothing more. It’s very subtle - no one even really notices. But I do because the angry 11 has gone!

Fringe.

TheOGCCL · 18/07/2023 21:47

That is such a common place to have a line or two, it’s pretty normal.

Botox works a treat but once you see the effect you’ll want to maintain it and it’s not cheap.

Argireline may be worth a try.

Or Frownies are quite good for a quick fix.

I also get botox for this. I'm 39 and very low maintenance. Don't fake tan, don't even wear make up every day and would never have lash extensions or hair extensions. But I hated looking grumpy all the time, so I get botox. Mine is £300 every 6 months. I get it through a former GP who has her own botox clinic now

MintyCedric · 19/07/2023 00:09

@Screamingabdabz it’s drastic in terms of my budget!

But like others on here have said I’m not ‘high maintenance’ otherwise so I think it’s something to want to invest in.

Me too!
Similar to others, I’m not a beauty salon type (although I often rush I had the time and budget to be!) but Botox was well worth the money. As soon as childcare becomes less extortionate, it’s going back on my budget spreadsheet!
