I like it - it's very similar to one I tried on in Phase Eight with high hopes for my brother's wedding...I looked absolutely gopping in it though. I like dresses...they don't like me.

Elphaba · 25/02/2008 19:37

Ooh, Twig - that is nasty!!

Yes, you can have 2 green dresses though. I've got 2 green dresses but one is cocktail dress and one is a sun dress so I think that's allowed!

Boco · 25/02/2008 19:38

I like the cut but prefer less bile in my green.

Twiglett · 25/02/2008 19:40

it looks bile-free on my screen .. it's kind of limey coloured

It is an interesting colour. I think perhaps it needs a twist more lemon in the mix!

I imagine it will be an awful length too, unless you are spectacularly tall.

S1ur · 25/02/2008 23:56

I like. Don't like bow though. don't really do bows.

Green is good. Prefer a sagey tone myself. But depends on your colour then.

Perfect if you are a sylvan nymph - are you?

soapbox · 26/02/2008 00:07

It would work if you've got red hair and pale/freckly complexion.

LongDeadMotherofHarryP · 26/02/2008 00:12

Never really understood the point of dresses for people who actually want to do any work - they get in the way - hence sylvan nymph comment - you know flitting around the woods doing nothing in the particular. So what does it matter if you have two of them or if they are green? A dress is surplus to requirements.

soapbox · 26/02/2008 00:14

Well the colour is a bit suspect, but it isn't exactly a housecoat is it?

It is meant to be worn when one isn't working, you know to dinner, the opera, the theatre, a party or any other time when you just want to look decorative, rather than actually do anything.

S1ur · 26/02/2008 00:17

no no dead mother

not surplus to requirements. a statement of intent to not do shit. and to instead look floaty. and of course to dance and make your skirt go all twirly.

dresses are fab in right context.

whydya think all little girls and boys relish opportunity to flounce about in skirts?

LongDeadMotherofHarryP · 26/02/2008 00:17

Sorry - you mean genuinely free time, just for oneself? What really? Goodness, if that opportunity came up, the last thing I'd wear would be a dress. I'd like to go to a concert in my most comfortable pyjamas with a cup of excellent coffee and the crossword on my knee. And no-one would butt in or interrupt me for at least an hour.

soapbox · 26/02/2008 00:18

LOL!

You need to get out more
