Boden and Brora - am I horribly misguided?

I clicked on the link to Samantha Smythe's blog and in one of the entries she related being at a party and a woman remarking that she was "dressed entirely from a catalogue" in reference to some Boden dress and Brora wrap she had on. She then promptly gets rid of all her clothes in favour of a capsule wardrobe...

I live abroad but I've flicked through the odd catalogue and thought Boden and Brora did nice, quite upmarket stuff - or am I wrong and do people get all sniffy about their clothes?

Feel all clueless - what's wrong with their stuff?

nothing is worng with it

and I bet it never happened

brora stuff is lovely, dont much like boden but its better than some

I am personally not a big fan but, boden has lots of followers on mn. But then I am probably not their target market anyway, especially as I buy from that lovely boutique called 'Charity shop'

i really wouldnt worry.

if someone wants to get all sniffy about what someone else is wearing, do you really give a toss what they think??

i am a working class norfeast london girl, now living in hampshire and my dcs are at preprep (did not even know what that was before) school - so if anyones gonna be on the lookout for scorn and down-nose-looking, its me. and afaics, theres a lot less of it in reality than there is in a persons mind.

and afaik, boden and brora are really quite posh anyway!

ah, great - I can now confess that "flicking through the odd catalogue" extended to buying two skirts

I don't have the best fashion sense - my friend once held a jumper of mine hostage when I left it in her house as she claimes it was so hideous.

sigh, maybe there's something to be said for a capsule wardrobe after all...
