Brown hair dye with no red

I'm looking for a fairly dark brown hair dye that I can buy from boots or Superdrug etc. which does not have a red tone.

Any recommendations please?

I use Nice and easy 77 ash brown. No red at all. There is a permanent version. It's dark brown but not too dark as I find their dark brown looks almost black on me.

I strongly agree with the Nice & Easy suggestion because I too avoid red tones & have found their ASH browns to be the best. The Medium Ash Brown shade would probably suit the OP as it is actually quite a dark brown.

Perfect thank you! Do you think it will cover blonde? I'm trying to go back to my natural brown and I've grown out as far as I can. The greys are showing now and I'm sick of half blonde!

Polycolour natural or medium brown

Have you gone blonde to brown before? Ash browns are liable to go green when put onto dyed blonde hair and the red tones are there to counteract that. I actively look for red tones when putting on top of blonde and you can’t normally see any red in the end as it’s counteracted by the blonde.

@TeleTropes I have but a long time ago. I tried a more red dye as a test but it was really obviously red

I used to put the Polycolour natural brown number 39 over blonde and it did not come out red at all, just a lovely looking natural brown. I am grey now and cannot be bothered dyeing anymore.

If putting brown over blonde, it will go khaki or greeny if there's not a warm tone in it. I looks for a .3 (gold) number after the base colour -something like a 6.3 or 5.3 is a nice natural brown without too much red , but enough warmth in there to not go greeny.
