Anyone had a wonky tooth fixed with prosthodontics not braces?

Have you had a wonky tooth reshaped with filing & composite bonding or veneer/crown etc? If so, were you happy with it? Was it painful or difficult to get done? and has it lasted? Thanks!

The minute you drill a tooth you shorten its lifespan . No dental work lasts forever and every time it's replaced it takes away more tooth.
Braces do no damage to teeth at all and ,providing you wear a retainer for life , the results last for life.

Thanks, it's good to know the risks.

Hi, yes I did. My front two teeth were wonky with and one was heavily chipped. I had them tidied up with composite veneer. Cost £500 and looks fine! My natural teeth remain intact but look straight. I'll find a before and after pic and will post shortly

Sorry tried to attach picture yesterday but ended up sharing my camera reel screenshot!

Below is what I had done. I had one filed down a bit more after this but it shows the change through a single appointment with no invasive procedures

Wow that's a fabulous transformation @PilchardsonToast ! Did it hurt during and/or after? Would you do it again? (sounds like you would!)

Nope didn't hurt at all.

They do need a polish when I go to the dentist though as I think they stain more than porcelain veneers but overall I'd definitely recommend!

Thank you and I'm glad you've had a good experience.

I have composite on two of my teeth to make them a different shape and it's lasted really well, but has discoloured a bit. Had it 30 years almost.

Had veneers and maryland splint bridges several times for cooked front teeth. Didn't last. I've now had comprehensive pontic caps and other work, cost a bomb but looks great and is set to last.

It all depends what the underlying issue is, in my case a severe crossbite putting strain on all the wrong teeth which is why previous " fixes"...weren't.
