surely there's some mistake?!

Cod, where are you?

Spring and fake tan season is just around the corner!

We need to pile in about good face and body exfoliators!

Thanks to Dior [I heart Dior] I have learned that Clinque 7-Day Scrub is excellent for the face.

But much more info is needed.

Aha, I killed a thread recently when I requested recommendations for a good foot file/scrubber. I know about the f?-thingey cream stuff for feet, but what to scrub feet with?
Agree about Clinique 7-day scrub, but haven't come across a body scrub I love yet. Used to like all those "Sanctuary" type ones, sort of salt and oil, but nowadays I find them too oily.

TheHonEnid · 25/02/2008 12:54

Ren Salt Guerande

is the best body scrub ever

i was a devotee of Clinique's seven day scrub until i started using this

[[http://www.cosmeticsbusiness.com/Pictures/Thumb/s/n/y/13_scrub_your_nose_in_it.jpg scrub your nose in it (soag & glory)

was on the Sunday Times recommendation and it is fab - you can also use it as a mask and is around £6 cheaper than clinque

RubySlippers · 25/02/2008 13:03

trying link again

suzywong · 25/02/2008 13:14

Check this out for a fabulous body scrub, in fact I can hardly keep my own hands off my own tender thighs after using it in the shower just now:

Salt

mixed with

Rice Bran oil

scrub yourself all over and rinse off.

cadelaide · 25/02/2008 21:53

...and still no-one will tell me what they use to scrape their feet...

Prufrock · 25/02/2008 21:57

Secret to scraping feet is to file when dry, not wait until wet. Body shop do a wooden foot file. File (over bath or something, lots of skin dust comes off), then soak in bath/shower, then cream

PotPourri · 25/02/2008 21:59

Regarding face - a natural sponge or a little facial brush is fab. Or sand mixed with cleanser if really dry skin.

For body, definately a loofah, you can do it much more systematically I find.

Cadelaide - for feet - Foot file, pumice stone?

JackieNo · 25/02/2008 22:01

Not a scrub, but exfoliating gloves - fab, use with ordinary shower gel, no mess, last forever (well, almost).

chocolatespiders · 25/02/2008 22:02

i love
boots botanics- in shower facial polish

but today for a change i have bought neutrogena.. pure glow pads which say they are like a spa facial

I have the soap and glory one it was in christmas gift set i must start using it ...

JackieNo · 25/02/2008 22:04

(Don't use the exfoliating gloves on your face though - probably a bit too fierce)

cadelaide · 25/02/2008 22:12

Prufrock, thankyou.

suzywong · 25/02/2008 22:59

I use a pack of stanley knife blades, cadelaide

slim22 · 25/02/2008 23:10

Second use of salt + oil (olive oil myself + few drops of geranium/grapefruit/lavender essential oils).

Otherwise, for those who don't like the oily feeling, truly effective but pricey: Origins modern friction.
But last for ages as produces a good foam so a little goes a long way.

L'oreal exfotonic is very good too.

For feet I use one of those large files too. I think best to use wet file on dry feet. Then a lot more dead skin rubs off than when you use a dry file.
Keep tub old fashioned nivea by bedside and cream hands and feet every night if you remember.
