Bridesmaid dress colors?

Hi all! Getting married November 5th and everything is organized and ready to go - except the bridesmaid dresses. I have the style picked out but can’t decide on a color. My lovely bridesmaids are happy to go with whatever I choose, but everything I see just seems meh

The first three photos are 1) husband’s suit, 2) my dress (95% match - I don’t have any kind of flower crown) and 3) venue decor. All flowers are white, and main decor is cream/gold. I’ve attached some colors I like but am open to suggestions!!!

What dress color would you pick based off them?

Navy? My wedding was neutral flowers, just white and green foliage. My bridesmaids were in navy blue and they looked so elegant, and made my white dress stand out so photos looked ace

I think black, or any autumn wintery colour would suit your choices.

That mustard is foul IMO. Wouldn’t suit many peoples colouring.

I’d go for a lovely deep burgundy, green, navy blue, damson, something wintry and jewel like.

I went for plum purple with mine. Suits every skin tone and goes with everything

I forgot to say OP, of the 2 bridesmaid dresses you like, the peachy beige one in nice. Anything in that or a similar soft neutral colour would be very nice.

I'm afraid it doesn't

Are those the actual dresses you'd want? Might be a bit chilly for November! You'd need some sort of fur shrug or something over the top, in which case a strong colour like emerald or burgundy would like nice for the dresses.
The sage and nude pink you linked to are colours that might not work for a lot of people. What do the bridesmaids think? They would know what suits them!

Well it did for mine, and the skin tones for the 6 of them ran from a brunette who is so pale she reflects the sun, brunette Filipino, brunette Indian, blonde and tanned, very dark black African and a red head with a million freckles. They all looked fantastic.

@AngeloMysterioso plum purple absolutely won’t work for anyone with very cool toned skin. They will look far better in blue based purples. It’s much easier to find a shade of green or blue that will suit everyone.

Well, my incredibly pale, brunette, blue eyed MOH looked absolutely stunning so I’m sorry but you’re wrong there

Burgundy dark green or burnt orange
the first 2 colours would be fab in velvet

noglow · 09/07/2023 06:53

The green is nice the light peachy one is too light I feel. The red if its winter time.

Mustard-y?

That doesn't look nice imo

Absolutely doesn't

You say they are all similar skin tones - but which skin tone is it? Are they like any of the models in the pictures you've posted.

Findyourneutralspace · 09/07/2023 07:04

If they all have similar skin tone it would help to know what that is. The peach that you’ve posted would be very hard for a lot of people to wear for example.
Do you want them to tone in with you or contrast?
I like the idea of a shopping trip to try them on.

Burnt orange won't suit most people.
