Can you look polished with bare nails?

Shellac ruins my nails and I can’t keep normal varnish looking nice.

Im hoping to smarten up and look more elegant / polished but most people I see with that look have a lovely neutral manicure!

Nicely cared for natural nails look a lot more polished than the long fake nails.

Can anyone point me towards a good buffer please?

Essie do one and from the reviews it's exactly like the Dior one. Let's just say I'm glad I didn't shell out for it as I was underwhelmed.

Natural nails look more polished than painted. You just have to keep them neat and clean.

Yes, of course, if your nails and hands are clean, the nails cut smoothly and all to the same length, and you're nicely dressed.

Rimmel and mavala both do lovely clear versions, one more pink than the other and they’re inexpensive.

i never pay for cosmetics from fashion brands like Dior or Chanel, they’re always way overpriced and of dubious quality in my experience.

I always paint my toenails but never bother with my hands. Due to my lifestyle I can't have overly long painted nails. I am well groomed all over apart from hands, I don't really care about them as long as my nails are in good shape and my hands are clean and moisturised.

Most of my friends do not get their nails done but they still look very polished so it is possible. Most of them are city professionals.
